No, I'm sure one of the best GM's in the league makes decisions without considering "ripple effects."

He needs to hire a Head of Ripple Effects to his staff.

1st of all , we don't need Howard during regular season , he is so important in the playoff time.
2nd, D12 did not regress , it's more of Dmo progress

DM spoke of the 30% improvement and I see it earned this way
    * can DMo step up during Howard absence due to injury! The answer Yes
    * can DMo Co-exist with Howard return ,the answer again is yes
Now we are at this stage of DMo can come from the bench and have an impact.
I like the fact that he may get more touches ,and Smith more discipline

yep, less we forget Jerry Garcia's immortal lines from the first stanza of Ripple...which sound very similar to Darry Morcia's interview

The two bolded lines are the best explanation of the DMo quote in the interview.

Or abandon his ludicrous philosophy of hiring a yes man, and employ someone that can beat discipline into this team. Glad Mchale got his contract, thats guaranteed money for him, now the rockets can finally get a coach.

dont know exactly how much post touches in general, but back to the basket touches were only 3-4

Quality interview. Every response was spot on. Is he saying all this directly to McHale too?

[Q UOTE=CCity Zero;9449645]Yeah, but I also saw him play like garbage against the Pelicans and the Clippers... Just look at the box scores if you need a reminder. He basically played his way on to the bench.[/QUOTE]
How will he learn to consistently play against these front lines if he doesn't consistently get the ball in the post?Yao went through it ,Donatas must go through it

I'm surprised Morey says dmo is second option behind harden. Not really translating in recent games though

    great interview!

finally there's hope that the NBA is thinking about the playoffs with the best 16 teams, not the top in the East and West.

Western Conference owners are pushing for it.

So you never experiment in your life with other options? Do you always do one and only thing which you like the best and never try anything else? Do you always do the things the same way?

Why it would be surprising if rockets want to get other guys going?

Why it would come as a surprise if they try different linups?

Why it would come as a surprise if they dont care losing a couple of games?

Why would it come as a surprise if they are trying to avoid OKC and SAS in the first round?

Why it would come as a surprise if they are trying not to offend Howard(who can opt out of contract next year), slowly introduce DMo as a first postup option and keep both DMO and Dwight?

the problems on offense are play and chemistry related. bev is typically stationary and in the wrong spot on the floor when dmo is in the post with his hand up. the coaching staff needs to make these two go through 50 reps a day practicing dmo sealing his man off and bev feeding him off the dribble at the precise optimal moment. to say that we need to go to dmo more is not enough. if the perimeter players feel more confident getting it to him without being blamed for a possible turnover, then they'll go to him 5 straight halfcourt possessions.

You've just won the first ever Clutchfans Jerry's Missing Finger Award for the most obscure Grateful Dead reference in regards to the Houston Rockets.

    Congrats!

Perhaps, but his trade value could be increased more efficiently if he actualy got him a couple of post touches

It's amazing how virtually every member of clutchfans sees how effective dmo is in the post but we're not seeing more of it in the game. Reminds me of yaos early years.
