Oh, well.....saw a sinking ship, did the smart thing and left. Didn't know you Danny Green and didn't care.
I pointed out months ago that once EG was gone that they would have more dead money on the books than actual salary committed to players on the roster. But the narrative is that Tilman is a cheap b*stard .... if that's the case, why is he paying guys more to go away than to suit up and play. He essentially paid a few million bucks for a swap option with the Clippers and a couple 2nd round picks from OKC. But Tilman's a cheap b*stard ..... stick to the narrative.
On a smaller scale, I don't pay ex wives or ex employees because I ain't got any. Your attempt to compare a billionaire who can't properly run a pro team with an average Joe ain't working. He didn't gather his wealth on sports grounds. We are talking strictly sports here first and foremost.
No, you stated unequivocally "Tilman is not smart" .... but somehow he has a net worth a million times greater than the guy who makes that statement - somehow he's an idiot.
I mean, we couldn’t have gotten at least a 2nd to move him to a 3rd team? As an expiring contract with championship experience and a career dead eye shooter?
Let's review this on a more level headed level where you don't feel the need to go against a fellow fan in favor of an elitist business tycoon. He is high above all as the conglomerate that puts out a product of entertainment whatever people may call it. The majority of us are fans or what I call 'consumers'. We consume the Rockets as a product by investing our free time or money, nobody asked us to yet we chose to. I for one chose to pay and subscribe to Clutchfans, a webpage dedicated to the Rockets. Are we clear so far? Naturally as we consume we have a right to voice our critical ideas to the organization no matter how tough they are. Naturally we compare owners to other owners who were more successful owning a team.
