Its weird that Russell would take a max deal to come off the bench because thats likely whats going to happen when Klay comes back from injury.

why would he come off the bench. russel, curry, and klay can certainly be trotted out as 1,2,3. lets not forget curry and klay both are off ball players. there's no way theyre bringing him off the bench

That might be the worst defensive backcourt in the history of the league is why. Klay can't guard everyone.

so what. doesnt mean they can't be competitive. boston still maintained a top defensive team with isiah thomas playing major minutes and the focal point of their offense. lillard and cj aren't exactly a defensive backcourt but portland has a decent scheme for the team to be solid defensively

you're overlooking the fact that teams have to guard them on the other end too. they may not be the championship team they were but theyre still gonna be a challenge

Will they keep Russell and let Green walk ? I think they move him by next year so they can resign Green. Jan 15 is the first day they can trade him.

Well there was a report that Klay might return Feb/March. So the timing works out nicely if they start Russell till then so Steph isn't the only scoring threat, then flip him into a more complementary player or two when they have their backcourt back.

Thats a bad idea imo, Klay is like 6'5 he cant guard sfs and bith DLo and Curry are horrible defensively.

GSW is a mess I love it.

Klay can 100% guard small forwards.

He’s actually like 6’7. Are you really going to act like klay doesn’t get put on sf’s. Come on now. This isn’t even worthy of an actual discussion

Nah fam Klay is 6'5 and 3/4

He gets put on sfs but he doesnt guard them full time as they had KD and Iggy. He has to now though I wanna see his shot degrade again due to exhaustion

Are people actually arguing over one inch of Klay's height as if that matters?

It's all the same if he wears 2 inches the 6'8 sfs are now also 6'10. Lebron for example is 6'7 3/4 without shoes so according to your logic Lebron is now almost 6'10 lol.

Russell is also 6'3 1/4 but has to play against guys 6'5 and up. His offense and defense are gonna take a big hit playing SG.

Whatever you say to make yourself feel better. Probably one of the most irrelevant tales I’ve seen in quite some time tbh

No one's arguing about 1 inch we're talking about 2 inches here.

you guys thinking the warriors are over dont know anything about basketball. they have three players that can rain hellfire on you on offense, and klay, draymond, and looney, which its a big deal they were able to keep, are all great defenders. they will STILL be able to put up 115+ ppg and get timely stops. i promise no one is going to want to see them in the playoffs once they are healthy. the only reason for them not to still be a top 4 team is klay missing most of the regular season.

they might even still keep cousins since it seems all he is going to get is the minimum

Cool. Such an odd flex you’re trying to pull here.
