If Okafor and Towns are the consensus top 2, no chance in hell Russell get past the Lakers and Sixers.
You have to give a talent like him minutes. He can spot up or create. He's a great shooter for a PG. Beverley hasn't exactly been a stopper this season. Once Harden sits, leave Russell in a lil while to create and vice versa. We wouldn't have a chance unless we traded up. It being top 3 protected kills that. Also, I may be wrong, but I believe a pick can only vault into the top 3 or remain in its spot. So, we just have to root against NO as much as we can and that would be the best we can hope for.

What a gifted passer this guy is. I'm watching this game against Arizona and he has made a handful of very nice passes. Kind of like Harden -- he seems to have great instincts for it.
Been doing it all year, passes he has made this game is nothing compared to a few posted earlier. Have you seen the spinning bounce pass one yet?
His game (vision, ball handling, leadership, poise) and confidence (says he wears #0 because that's how many people that can guard him) is just like Harden. Once he gets stronger he'll rebound better too. I'd sacrifice A LOT to move up to get Russell. He's the final piece to our championship puzzle.
The Lakers will draft a center and sign Rondo. Sixers may be our trade partner. D'Mo would fit perfectly next to Embiid & Noel. D'Mo, Pelicans pick, Papanikolou, lull, future first for D'Angelo Russell.

He struggled today, not a diss on him. Players have bad games sometimes. I can't help but feel that he is better suited to SG long term though.
If we get him, we might have the best all lefty backcourt of all time Either way, he is going top 3 so next to no chance
If Towns and Okafor are going 1 and 2, Lakers and Sixers are taking Russell and Mundiay. Russell is the perfect fit for the Sixers. They have no friggen point guard and two former lottery pick big mens. Why would they want Montie?
Well spoken. He has a lot of Harden in him and the fit isn't great for the Rockets. Russell is a sensational talent (Mundiay can't hold his jock) who needs the ball in his hands, just as Harden does. The Rockets need a combo guard to play alongside Harden, someone to carry the ball up past half court then get open for a shot after passing to Harden. The best scenario for the Rockets may be a trade of their picks to a rebuilding team desperately needing to draft a big.
