Dampier seems inclined to accept minimum offer from Miami.

I sense sarcasm, but I am dying to see how this Miami team plays together. They look great on paper, I thing JVG is right saying this might be the greatest team ever.

exactly how i feel having Dampier as a 3rd center would be good for the larger teams that have capable big guys on the offensive end that could put Yao in foul trouble or Miller cant guard (because he is after all Brad Miller)

I am fine with Hayes playing 8-10 minutes at the center spot if needed. Getting Dampier would be an excellent luxury, but right now thats all it is a luxury option not a necessity

I seem inclined to wish he and the rest of the Heat get injured.

I never thought he would come here with Miami actually needing someone with his skill set. Personally, I don't mind. He would have been nice but I feel no personal loss if he doesn't. We'll roll on.

According to hoopshype Dampier is having second thoughts about the joining the Heat... wonder what that is all about?

He would fit well then. That whole team now from coach to superstar to role players is filled with drama queens. This is a very different case from when Boston was assembled three years ago and everyone agreed to put aside their egos to play some of the best defense that's ever been seen in the NBA.

What did Spoelstra ever do? Or do you mean the soon-to-be coach, Riley?

I can't help be think... should he chose the Heat over the Rockets... like Chris Bosh did... that kicking their arses in the NBA finals would be such sweet irony.

Over/under on the time that Spolestra will be coaching that team.

    30 games?

    I say under.
