But did you really watch that game? I don't think I saw one Murray run without him getting hit the second he got the ball. The Cowboy's line had a lot to do with his success last year but he didn't even have a chance yesterday.

Damn what a tough break to start the season. First Dez. Now Romo. The defense was awesome yesterday. They're going to have to be world class for the cowboys to go 50% over the next 8 weeks while Romo is out.
Yeah, I watched every play. Murray's still good in the open field, but what made him was the o-line last year. While the Eagles running game suffers, the Cowboys barely miss Murray. My point is just that the Cowboys were smart to let him walk. Who would have seen that coming?
I don't care for the Cowboys, but Weeden can compete with everyone in that division. They have a fighting chance to stay afloat with marginal play. Same thing is happening in the Texans division.
They have acquired Matt Cassel from Buffalo and promoted Kellen Moore. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Terms: The Bills sent QB Matt Cassel and a 2017 seventh-round pick to the Cowboys for a 2017 fifth-round pick.</p>— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) <a href="https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer/status/646457085631328256">September 22, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

(De)marco...Polo! You just jinxed Weeden there. Edit: Weeden...you're out. Cassel...you're in. Weak ass sheet from Weeden with that short yardage passing bs. Not going to win like that. O-line...you were beat a lot today. Defense...turrible...just turrible. Missed Mincey today and were hurt with Lee and Hayden out for periods of the game.

First, let me confess I want the Cowboys to lose but that doesn't influence my observation of them as a team. I didn't buy the notion their running game would save them while Romo and Dez were gone. That looks to be a correct observation. However, I am very impressed with how they are competing. I've been down on Jason Garrett in past years but he deserves credit for thriving in Jerry's meddlesome environment. He joins Romo on my favorite Cowboys list. The next 3 games will be tough but it appears only the Giants have the potential to run away with the division. If they don't, playoffs are quite possible.
Can't believe I'm saying this to a Cowboys fan: It ain't over yet. You have reinforcements coming in next week. The Giants are your only legit competition for the division. I gotta go wash my hands now.
