My kid is playing in a similar but different league, and the way some of the opposing coaches behave it doesn't surprise me one bit. Being the parent of a kid that just wanted to play football with his friends on a team that's just trying to play hard, learn something, and have fun, this kind of thing scares the hell out of me.

$20 bucks? When I was in little league baseball all I'd get was $2 to buy some big league chew after a homer

This, among other reasons, is why I will not let my future kids play organized tackle football until they're older.

I'll give your kid $20 if he takes out your coach's knee. ;)

Heheh, obviously being overbearing and wanting your players to hurt others are two different things. BTW we had a kid get his second concussion and he's out for the season. 10 year old.

Agreed. 2nd concussion. That's scary. We're scrimmaging a no weight limit team right now and they have a 165lb 10 year old. :0 glad my son is on the sideline.
