What's his role going to be this year? With PPat and TJones probably going to get most of the minutes at the 4 and Asik and maybe Aldrich getting the minutes at the 5, where does that leave him? I see so much potential in him that it'd be a waste to put him on the bench.
Yeah, I guess you missed the last trade from a couple of days ago that got us a legit back up center. D-Mo will be sharing time with Jones as the backup PFs. Depending on match ups with slow PFs I think D-Mo will thrive.
If Aldrich can hold it down for a few minutes at the 5, D-Mo should be able to get looks at PF methinks.
D-league with Royce and Machado to work on defense? Really like him, though. I hope Morey doesn't trade him.
D-league, he need time adapt to NBA speed, work on post game, strength, rebounding, conditioning. Plus he's a liability on defense. Too many holes in his game to sniff any PT
Jones is more then capable of playing the three. We could go big off the bench, and have a front line of Jones, D-Mo and Aldrich.
He's too good for the dleague, but needs to work on his body. He was at a strength disadvantage even in the summer league. We might as well keep him with the team even if he's not in the rotation. You don't go to the dleague to learn defense, it's just not played there.
If our coaches gave playing time simply because of potential, we would not have discovered how good Parsons is. There is a reason why he got playing time last season and Morris did not even though their selection in the draft implied otherwise. All great coaches will tell you that playing time is earned not given. Dmo needs to show the coaching staff that he does not only have the skills, he also has the drive and motivation to outplay the other forwards. If he cannot be more effective than Patterson, TJ and White during practice (offense and defense), there is no reason for him to be playing regular season games.
