Question, if something showed up in DMO's urine, are the Rockets required to report it to the league?
Maybe several other Doctor's passed him and the Rockets are now reviewing other physical reports on him.
I'm a sucker for answering questions by a once-a-year poster....even if it means a few minutes of research. Random drug testing is done by the league (not Teams), overseen by the league's medical director. Everything must be shared with the Union. Aside from Random Testing, Neither the league nor Teams can request a urine test without going through procedures for Reasonable Cause Testing....signing a contract as a free agent does not apply (especially with no priors). So, the answer is Teams aren't allowed to make a player submit a urine sample for drug testing, without the NBA and Union authorizing and "overseeing" it.
To be honest, there's not a lot about this story in the media that I could find. Surprised about that.
