This thread sucks!!! Really ban Howard cuz his hand went out and was a complete accident?? Maybe the NBA should ban Nate Robinson because he hit Dwight on the hand on that play and nothing was called!! hmmmmm
The NBA sucked since Shaq joined. It's now all about Brute Force and power dunk instead of true skills that need practices. That's why even Obama is saying Gasol is the best center, not DH. Take that brain dead internet tough guys who root for those dirty lazy players with natural size advantage.
There is a reason why DH is called a beast. I for one like how he is playing, first three games magic were soft and played with no intensity. Celtics were just manhandling and now when DH responds in kind all of sudden he is dirty. Please? I think yao and howard are the only two players in the league that get fouled so much that its not even funny. Now, howard is hitting back that is what a superstar center is supposed to do. If only Yao can be this mean?
I grew up watching old school ball when the center was the tough guy. You dont see orlando saying they need an enforcer do you? maybe thats why theyve been better than the rox. Their center gives hard fouls and the rox center havent given a hard fooul in his career
If you don't want to get hit, don't stick your face/head anywhere near his elbow. It's as simple as that.
and a great game from howard....if he can learn a freakin post move and how to pass out of the post.....
wtf...what does race have anything to do with this? always an idiot bringing race into discussions (although a stupid one). Anyway, it seemed accidental to me. Like someone else have said, nate was probably the one who brought DH's arms down onto davis. We are talking about a BIG man here, when his arms come down, you would expect some force. I don't think this deserves a ban.
I think to a certain degree that players have gotten complacent that no one will ever fight back or be enforcer. That's why small bumps suddenly turn into major altercations, ticky tacks are now fouls, calls get more and more inconsistent, and cheap-shots and flops are commonplace because of that discrepancy. I don't think the league has gotten worse or something, but just because Dwight is using his elbows a bit more to clear space when guys like him and Yao are murdered in the post... I mean, they should have that right. Dwight is certainly using the elbow a bit excessively lately, I'll admit that though.
