It's a complex relationship actually. The virus does well at very low RH (<20%) AND very high RH (>80%) but not at moderate humidities. Also looked into the physics as the statement above seemed a bit....suspect. You are right but for the wrong reason. It's not that humid air keeps it from expanding, it's that it keeps the water droplets from your sneeze from evaporating, and thus making them heavier and sink faster than in a dryer environment. That said, I do not think humidity is enough of a defense as it does seem the virus itself survives at various humanities.

Travel ban with China was not very effective as it was simply too late to have much impact. China quarantined the cities on Jan 23rd, over a week before Trump stopped travel before US travel ban took place on the 3rd, also airlines had already stopped flights. The travel ban was really more of a show than anything else. Also US citizens were still allowed in and they brought the infection with them. Before China has locked down the virus in late Jan, over 300k people had traveled to the US in the prior month. The infection has been here for some time and is about to blow up now.

The China travel ban did help slow it down, people shouldn't bash Trump for everything, I mean the guy already gives us enough ammunition on a daily ****ing basis.
I think it's crazy to expect people to go to the poll when we are shutting jobs, schools, restaurants, travel, etc. I think voting is critically important, but this is an emergency situation and there is no reason these primaries can not be rescheduled.
It's not about bashing Trump. How did the ban help when China had already quarantined areas and US airlines had alright stopped flying? And it wasn't a travel ban because it allowed US citizens to return. Maybe the quarantine helped a bit but it was voluntary - so again, explain how it helped. Really - what's the actual logic?
