Brewers contract is not guaranteed after this year, but the next two years are guaranteed if he stay on next year which I highly doubt. Bye Bye Brewer!!!
Well Mark Cuban just made the Rockets a little more attractive with his dumb comments about Westbrook. Also, LA going to SA was not a huge shock. It was talked about all year. Everyone knew he wanted to come back to Texas and that left 3 teams. With Duncan on his way out it made perfect sense for him to go to SA...
I'm not gonna lie... Kawhi & Durant interchangeable at the 3/4 scare the living crap out of me. Also rumors out there about Pau taking less to take Duncan's spot when retires this Summer.. just unbelievable embarrassment of riches if they can pull any of this off.
Go full-76ers and just sit out the next few seasons if Durant goes to the Spurs. It'll be a 2 team league. Shoot...maybe it already is.
Not hating on you, but this kind of logic would never be considered by a top-tier FO. Cleveland assembled Lebron-Kyrie-Love while retaining Tristan Thompson and reinforced the ranks with Mozgov, Shumpert and a re-focused JR Smith. How did other teams respond? GSW stuck to their guns and developed a championship team Spurs lost in the 1st round yet retooled around the biggest offseason prize in LMA and had their best reg season ever. Hell, even Portland has a chance to do something special now that CP3 is hurt. All because they built around what worked instead of "giving up"
Spurs just going to roll out: Parker Kawhi Durant LMA Gasol They could play so many line ups at 3,4 and 5 with Kawhi, KD, LMA and Gasol
Yeah, but i'm not sure Pau is goin to to take a paycut, he already did that with this contract, i think he'll want to get paid this time.
Haha I know. I was joking about the tanking part. It would absolutely depress the hell out of me watching the Spurs re-load like that, though.
Unless Pau is ok with taking something like the MLE, they'll need to clear all the bench and still trade Green so yeah... Pau LMA Durant Leonard Parker (meh) is a great starting five (on paper), but their bench will be something like Boban, Anderson and a coule of scrubs, i don't see this as a Pop kind of rotation
The problem with Durant signing a 1 year deal is his feet, they are rebuilt, he might want the luxury of a 5 year max deal over the risk of 1 year. Because if his feet blow up again, his career and earning power are devastated. You can already see a decline in Durant's game - he shoots a lot more from the outside now, he is much more cautious. DD
If that happens, trade Harden for future lottery picks cuz we're screwed. Hope those picks become something 5 years down the line. I'm not being serious but I also am being serious. I wouldn't know how to feel if that all fell into place for the Spurs. My face might just get stuck like this Spoiler
