Anything can happen. Howard to the Rockets wasnt possible in many people's eyes.

We get Durant and we get minimum 3 rings, guaranteed, and barring injury

I really want to see a cyberx post that states that "Sources: Rockets management frustrated with McHale." We can dream :)

There are expected to be like 27 teams who will be under the cap so there will be offers from everywhere.

What would have to done or can be done with D12's contract to make the cap space? Anyone know?

Dwight has a $23 million player option. He could possibly decline it and sign another long term deal

For purposes of creating space though, if he declines what would be his cap hold though? We'd still need to factor that into creating space. Or would it be trying to sign a new contract at a lower number for more years and then create the space needed?

Who cares about 2016 around here? Only wannabe Coon-types or faux sports fans. If your team just went to the WCF and your main concern isn't trying to win the title NEXT year, I don't know why you bother to watch sports.

The 2 don't have to be mutually exclusive. I'm PUMPED for next season, but I'm also excited to see if Harden/Morey can lure Durant over to Houston.

In terms of the larger markets, I don't think Boston/NY/LA stand a chance (perhaps the Clippers). He's also not going to move from OKC to any smaller market team that's not already a title contender. Houston has a very real chance to sign Durant in a year, and honestly as a fan who wants Dynasty, it's impossible NOT to think about it. If Durant signs here, there's no way Harden would leave, so you'd have Durant/Harden for at least an additional 4 years...that's exciting to imagine.

Yup. Totally agree. Being on Clutchfans and having constructive criticism of posts has actually increased my knowledge of the NBA and how it runs as a business.

I would actually love to eventually work in a front office...

Maybe Cyberx can hook me up
