That makes best sense for them. I think the Lakers aren't ready to give up Randle, but might do it if someone else is included.
Thanks for clarifying! If the Rockets have to give up too much I would rather he go to the Lakers so the Rockets can focus on Dragic.
Thank you cyberx..... do you think there is a real shot of getting him? How will this affect our chemistry?
That sounds like the Ainge we all know. He might just be the greediest GM in all of sports (not that there's anything wrong with that), so a first rounder + Brandan Wright just never made any sense. Now if the Lakers are willing to throw in Randle along with a first rounder and Nash's expiring, that's a deal I don't think anybody can match. Now, are the Lakers willing to give up Randle that quickly?? And the bigger question is if Rondo would be willing to re-sign in LA?
I cannot see the Lakers giving up Randle, Nash and #1 for a 29 year old point guard that thus far is a shell of the 2012 Rondo.
Don't want rondo if we have to give up key rotational piece. As far as rondo on the Mavs like I said until they play team defense they don't do anything in the playoffs that is long lived.
If Ainge leaked Wright+2 1sts, then he's getting nowhere close to Randle in terms of value. He may just be trying to get the Pelicans pick and Capella right now.
I don't think Rondo would re-sign in LA, so the Lakers could find themselves in another Dwight situation if they throw everything into a trade.
It's been known the Rockets can get Rondo at any time if they want him. The problem is they don't want to give up the farm for him. But if Morey proposed something like DMo, Terry, Capella, Pelicans pick, Canaan, Rondo would be on a plane to Houston tomorrow.
Well yeah, because that would be really ripping the Rockets off. If they offered Howard and Harden for Kelly Olynyk, he'd be on a plane to Houston tomorrow as well.
this team isn't winning a title as it is constructed, it needs better players and adding rondo would push it to that next level
well that changes things up a bit. I think that take DALLAS out of the running unless they are trading away Parsons... Wouldn't that be funny!
