You want a bricklayer? Every time Francisco Garcia checks into the game a little part of me dies. Although he didn't entirely suck last night (finally even drove to the basket once rather than heave three-pointers for the entire game), I'm thinking they should change his jersey number to 046 (oh-for-six) with the name CLANK or THUNK (or whatever the Spanish equivalent would be: maybe they would borrow the English word, i.e., EL CLANKADOR).
It's actually been fun to watch because when he releases the ball you're thinking "Yea! Garcia's made plenty of those in his career" then the ball is halfway to the rim you're like "wait...he's been sucking all year...but he's an NBA player...played international ball...he should be able to--" and even before you can finish that sentence the ball clangs off the side of the rim. The rollercoaster ride of emotions that Francisco Garcia brings to the game can be thrilling.
Since this thread has evolved into an "anything goes" thread, I'm still waiting for the Garcia turnaround fade away jumper aka the Kobe move which he tried to pull several times last season.
This is basically GARM Unsorted now. Might as well start posting gifs because they're just as pointless.
Does that mean the Rockets are targeting Jeff Green? He would be a good fit, if the rockets go a little small he can play PF
Until a trade occurs, isn't this thread just scattershot and semi-pointless anyway? Sorry to derail it. On topic? Love to get Goran but find a third team with an SG. I don't think Troy Daniels and the NOP pick would cut it.
imo, if you can get Denver involve as the third team then it could be interesting for Phoenix. Getting Afflalo or Wilson Chandler (who's hitting his 3s fairly well this year) would be a boon for Phoenix as they never replaced the 3 point shooting that Channing Frye gave them.
I get the feeling that if Goran is moved, it'd be a Double Dragon transaction with Nick Johnson involved.
Phoenix has no leverage. Goran is unrestricted in the off-season and he is unhappy with the situation. Phoenix can only trade him to teams that he is willing to resign with. How many teams with a need for a starting point guard is he willing to resign with and have the assets to make a trade work. Phoenix isn't going to take back bad contracts.
thomas and bledsoe are on minty new contracts. thomas' contract is actually really good value, and bledsoe has potential to become an allstar. dragic who's in his prime now..seems to be the odd one out.
