The Raptors might be looking to move on from him though, he's already 29 so if they aren't going to be in a position to win in the next few years then they are just jerking off keeping him around. Papa's contract is VERY valuable because whoever gets him gets to cut 6 mil worth of salary instantly and the rest of the guys like Jones or whatever that we throw at them to make the money work would be expiring deals. Add in some picks and I could see them biting on it.
Papa's salary next year is about the same as this year, $4,800,000. So the savings would be substantial but not quite six million. Now, add Prigioni's waivable contract and etc etc and yes, you're talking saving some $$$.
We haven't heard a lot about Lowry. Most of it's just speculation. You'd think it would be thrown out there to the media because the Kings would DEFINITELY offer #6 for K-Low.
I hope we can do something significant on draft day. Either bringing in a top notch young player or trading for a impact veteran.
