That's for extensions of rookie contracts. Dragic isn't coming off a rookie contract or getting an extension.
But the things he is saying about PHX sound eerily reminiscent of his experience with HOU. The guy is worried about being "lied" to AND traded this late in his career AND he wants to be the main man on his team. Dragic wants a situation where he is primary ball handler on his team. He does not want to be a spot up shooter. Sound familiar?

Woah... I really hadn't thought Lawson would be even dangled but damn. Yeah... you do this deal Morey. If your only real competition is the Fakers, you can beat that deal in a heartbeat. Best deal they have is Hill/Clarkson & Rockets pick You tell me folks. Would you rather have that offer or - Expiring Salary (take you pick), Jones or D-Mo, Pelles pick, and NY 2nd rounder? There is no reason why Morey shouldn't do this deal.

I just hope Morey isn't passing up on taking Lawson or Knight because he is waiting on something with Dragic to break lose, and end up missing out on all of them like he did with Lowery.
Whatever Morey does he needs to snag a PG there are plenty available but it doesn't have to be a splashy move just get an upgrade over Bev
dont think we'll get burned per se...just letdown in the sense that we'll only do something minor. who knows. we do have assets to unload, the market doesnt have a lot of big fish that exactly fit our needs.
