Any other upgrade besides a 2nd playmaker won't have a big effect on this team. 2nd playmaker is a complete must. I read rumors Clippers may try to trade Jamal Crawford for a 3 and D player. Maybe Rockets can try to snatch him up if/when he's traded for one.

Haven't heard a word on Eric Gordon. I'm just looking at the situation, knowing we are playing 2015 free agency with trade assets and not cap space. Gordon is the type of contract we could acquire for expirings only and we may possibly fleece a future second rounder out of the Pelies for taking him on or perhaps lower the pick protection on the pick we have down another notch or two. Gordon is a very talented player. He signed an offer sheet with PHX in 2012 I believe it was. He didn't want New Orleans to match. They matched and he has sucked it up ever since then. But they've never been competitive and he hasn't wanted to be there. He's an undersized shooting guard who is a great 3-point shooter and finisher at the rim. And he was known for his defense before he got the big money contract. Has very long arms for his frame. I'm not going to post it but check the vid of him toasting us last season in the pick and roll with like 29 points and 6 assists. Another mini-Harden with defensive potential that could be exploited in a playoff run. Could play alongside either Harden or Bev. Gets to the line a ton and can shoot it and has shown good perimeter defense when he had something to play for. I'm not promoting him. I'm just saying I can see the possibility of acquiring him for expirings if we can't get anything else done.
It's interesting because the Cavs might feel like DMo could be a permanent 5. But I just can't see them doing it after giving up Wiggins to get Love. It would be announcing they fed up. That being said Brewer as a starter isn't the worst because he's basically Ariza with worse shooting from the 3 and better slashing to the basket. They both play good D and both do not need the ball to score. You still have Smith and hopefully Jones to backup the forward spots not sure about backup C though and need Cannan back if Terry is gone. Bev/Cannan Harden Brewer/Pap Love/Smith/Jones Howard Might need to move someone for another wing.
