Why can't he chase after both?

It means he knows he won't win anything here.

Because its Orlando?? They're not ready to be a contender.

That's fine if he thinks he won't win here..just don't try to sell that you believe in this team and all that ra-ra-ra stuff he says..

I'd take Mario as the centerpiece for a Howard deal.

He'd end up like KJ. He'd rot on the bench here.

Playmaking SF. He'd get every opportunity here.

Hes not a playmaking sf. Hes a good shooter with horrible handles and bad defence. ( still very young and could improve).

My major issue is not defense, which might improve. It's that he's not a willing or capable passer currently. That may improve - but do you trade a future HOFer for someone who might be a better-shooting, worse-passing Parsons?

he's not a playmaking sf and I dont' know why hooroo insists he is or even compares him to parsons. And the reason he isn't is he can't dribble the ball. (which is a VERY VERY difficult aspect to improve on).

    His defence will improve.

Magic have recently been using Hezonja as a backup PG, and he's doing well in that role. Makes smart passes, keeps the ball moving, knows how to run the pick and roll and hit the big man. But his future is definitely at the two position.

Mario isn't a small forward, nor will he ever be one. He's a pure SG. And I don't think he's on Parsons-level playmaking, at least not yet.

good thanx for your input. I haven't watched the magic in the last month or so. His ball handling skills needs a lot of work if he ever wants to become a pnr ballhandler. Why he player backup pg and not sg next to Payton I guess it's something only Skiles can explain.
