We had no assets to trade outside Capela, so we used him to get our main man, and then the buyout market to swing for a gem. I don't understand the wrist slitting. We weren't "fine" as is. Yep, and don't get your hopes up for that either cause both L.A teams, Boston and Miami will be all over buyouts too.
Don't be so ... Buyout meaning lesser player in view of the contract ... that's why they are bought out. It's an extreme route a team takes because the player being bought is so worthless. Last resort to the buyout market is just a pretense they want us to believe they are trying.
While I agree with your overall point .... I'm not thrilled with the outcome. I almost feel like this was a total disaster , worst case scenario despite finally replacing Ariza three years later. All of this seems to anti-Morey , contrary to everything we watched him do for a decade that I wonder if he's giving Ferntits a good screwing on his way out the door. I know he really buys into 3 is greater than 2 and I agree to some extent .... but this is going all in on that theory. PJ Tucker as a starting 5 ?! Or is it Caboclo when he's healthy?! .... I guess there is some remote chance they play Hartenstein and Chandler .... but they didn't the other night against Charlotte , Hartenstein got 3 minutes , Thabo 17 on a night when only 8 guys saw the floor.
