Cricket 2007 was only released for Playstation 2 and PC. Anyway, I played it and it was pretty poorly done. They half-assed a lot of it. (Misspelling teams, just deciding to have the announcers only pronounce European names and skipping Asia, etc..) Not to mention it was fairly buggy. Basically they pulled the same crap that they did with the latest version of NBA Live.

Hopefully, they get their act together.

I think basing a game on an intergalactic genocide is in very poor taste.

Freaking crazy. Just read about it yesterday. I'm aware of the fanatacism though.

A few years ago my Indian friends would have a party start around 11pm, let the party run into the Cricket World Cup telecast around 5am (?) where the party really escalated. Good times.

Lets just say, most media outlets will comment that captaining the Aussie cricket team is the 2nd more important job behind the prime minister.

Cricket is the number one sport in summer in Australia, mind you the time difference while watching the games make it hard for more to get into it.

It is currently 1.30am and I'm sitting here watching the aussies, will be an all nighter I think.

That's way over the line. Yes, Pakistan has terrorists that have spent time in the country with no way to stop them. Yes, they have nuclear capability. The United States had terrorists inside the country and were not able to stop them from A) The WTC Towers B) The Pentagon C) Oklahoma City Bombing D) Repeatedly Bombing Black Churches. We have been the target of our own terrorism too. So... before you go running your mouth off about Pakistan, realize that everything you have to say about them, you can say about this country. You can say it about India too. The only thing that makes India different that Pakistan, is that Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. So, if you have a problem with Muslims, then you are probably no better than somebody that hates all black people or all mexicans or all Chinese or whoever.. simply because of their blood line.

Go make friends with the next Pakistani you meet. You might find out that they are a lot like you.

    (I can't believe I'm talking smack in a cricket thread..lol)

For the eight people around here who care about this event, I once again say put your money on New Zealand. They have won all three matches and are schedule to play Ireland and the West Indies in the next round. They have the easiest draw. Sure, Australia is better, but maybe the Black Caps have momentum on their side after punking them a few weeks ago. (I say this with all humility since the lone one day cricket match I saw was Australia spanking the Black Caps in a most impressive fashion at Eden Park a few years ago).

Speaking of betting, this guy in New Zealand bet $10,000 that NZ would win the cricket and rugby World Cups. It's a 400-1 bet! If the kiwis win this one, I bet he will have a heart attack before the Rugby World Cup in France in September...
