Being a Florida alumni, I was thinking about what it would be like to create a currently-in-the-NBA Gators team. C - Joakim Noah PF - David Lee SF - Chandler Parsons SG - Corey Brewer PG - Bradley Beal Not too bad. It's hard to leave out Horford. We've turned out solid C/PF/SF NBA players (Haslem, Speights, Miller, Bonner) but really lacking in the SG, PG department over the past decade...save for white chocolate. Just curious to see what alumni teams people can build out there, whether you went to that school or not.
I guess we could pick the entire Kentucky team that got drafted last year -- six of them. I took OP's challenge as players currently in the NBA.
UCLA C-Kevin Love PF-Luc Richard Mbah a Moute SF-Trevor Ariza SG-Russel Westbrook PG-Jrue Holiday I Win?
CHECK OUT NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY. 1. Reggie Lewis 2. JJ Barea 3. Perry Moss 4. Harry Barnes 5. Rick Weitzman
Kentucky -- Talk about a team with upside... C - Anthony Davis PF - DeMarcus Cousins SF - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SG - John Wall PG - Rajon Rondo Probably struggle to score some, but Rondo, MKG and Davis sure would be a nice defensive squad. Could bring Eric Bledsoe off the bench too -- not to mention Enes Kanter, Brandon Knight, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson and Terrence Jones.
university of HIGH SCHOOL C dwight howard PF kevin garnett SF lebron james SG kobe bryant PG monta ellis
University of Michigan: F: Chris Webber F: Juwan Howard F: Jalen Rose G: Ray Jackson G: Jimmy King The Fab Five. One of the most recognizable and polarizing teams in college basketball history. Of course Glen Rice (another U of M basketball player) would go above King, Jackson, and probably Rose, but if I'm taking a team, I want these guys. They clicked from the jump and dominated the game. The best team to never win the NCAA Championship.
Yes. IT'S IN THE FIRST SENTENCE. I don't find it interesting to do all-timers just because the game is different across eras, apples to oranges. But people can post whatever they want.
Arizona is not so bad: PG - Terry / Bayless SG- Andre Iguodala SF- Budinger/ Richard Jefferson PF- Derrick Williams C- Frye/ Jordan Hill I put slashes on the positions I couldn't decide who was better and thus who to name.
If there were a bigger version of this team in the NBA they would be really good. What matters is you have a center who can do it all on offense, a stretch 4 who doesn't camp at the three point line, a 3 who can slash and knock down shots, and guards who can knock down the three and pass well. Too bad a C-Web center doesn't exist in the NBA. I guess you have to switch the roles between the 4 and 5 spot. A center who can knock down the 10-15 foot jumper who grabs rebounds, and blocks shots with a PF who does it all on offense.
Of course Hakeem and Clyde were better pros than any of those guys, but as a team, yea I would put the Fab Five over those Houston teams. They were too green against Duke in 92, but they were the better team in 93 against UNC and if it weren't for a bizarre game with one of the craziest endings ever Michigan would have been champs.
