We should change our team name back to the Colt .45's. And then they should serve only Colt .45 40 oz's at games.
Definitely liked the black away jerseys that said "Houston" on them. Too bad they were obscenely hot according to the players so they had to find a lighter color to wear as a road alternate, hence the brick red as the alternate.
Am I the only one that thinks that jersey is too generic? It doesn't seem like a pro jersey to me. It seems like a $20 design at Academy. Then again I'm not much of an MLB mind. Do people prefer black with the city name and no other distinguishing factors?
That's the beauty of the unis that were posted the other day. Open star logo, Serif capital H superimposed. Old school meets new school. Beautiful. I'm partial to the ones Hightop posted, too, however.
They'd be retarted NOT to have something like that in the works... just not sure whether it would be better to wait till they are getting good again, or to do it during a transition season when they're going to be awful.
clutchfans uniform threads are always cluttered with some dude with a cracked copy of Photoshop posting up some tacky over the top designs.. the key to any uniform is SIMPLICITY.. say it with me folks.. SIMPLICITY!! right... mixing the H with the open star just wreaks of tackiness.. please no.. bring back the old logo, give it its 2012 touchups and lets go.. still the slickest cap we've ever had..
I'll agree with this. The H-over-open-star just won't work. Way too distracting for the eye. I'd rather see the old H-over-star in brick/darker orange, then an alternate cap with the current (or a variation of) the open star. I do believe the open star and H-over-star can co-exist in a set, but as separate icons.
I agree with you in principle, but I don't agree that the H over the open star is tacky at all. My favorites from this thread: Spoiler
I don't like the H over the open star either. Too much going on in the middle. If you bring back the H, the star needs to be solid. That said, I prefer the open star. I tend to like it when a team can be identified by a logo that doesn't include letters. That's more of a Football, Basketball, Hockey thing than a baseball thing though. With Blue Jays going retro, the Astros, Jays, and Indians are the only teams I can think of without a "letter logo" on their cap (though the Indians have gone to a "C" for their road caps). I kind of dig that.
those top 2 would be my favorites, far and away. going back to the original Astros uniforms (like Pence is wearing) would just be amazing.
