Cocaine is illegal. In my book, it crosses into the seriously illegal category. Obviously this is different for everyone (though most would agree speeding tickets happen and are ok, murder isn't), but to me, coke is a hard enough, dangerous enough, addictive enough, life destroying enough drug, that it should be considered a serious infraction. The guy should be fired.

    Thanks bro.

    As for the GM.

    I sympathize.

I'd need to do a line to stay awake during all those baseball games, too.

I'm not condoning Drug use but the same argument could easily apply to Alcohol. It's his body and people struggle with addiction regularly.

No it couldn't actually since alcohol is not illegal and his argument was predicated on the fact that cocaine is.

after the line "Cocaine is illegal" it sure as hell can.

and not to go all D&D, legality is bull**** anyways. Whom ever makes the money makes the rules.

A manager doing Cocaine.....at the age of 57.

Washington should be fired. Who cares if the Club has gotten somewhat better.

You don't let a knucklehead like that control the clubhouse. He is supposed to set an example to his players.

How can you rely on someone like this to be a mentor ?

Not to mention with players that have the history of Josh Hamilton on the club this is a tarnish to the Rangers reputation.

This is a young club and this is not a help to them.

Any other job and you would face major consequences.

Do you have a coke problem? It's one thing when BBS members are defending drinking and driving (Fatty? Fatty? Wherefore art thou Fatty?) or mar1juana (which is not as bad D&D in my opinion) but now you are defending cocaine usage? Really?

As long as we ban all meat products, McDonalds, deep-friend food, cigarettes and alcohol we should be good.

This thread is going to end up in the D&D for sure. How in the world are we making the comparison between cocaine and bad food?

I'm just saying, either ban everything that will eventually shorten your life or legalize it all and let people dig their own graves.

It is ridiculous that recreational drugs like mar1juana are illegal and socially frowned upon in this country while tobacco and alcohol are perfectly fine.

    Cocaine kills?

    So do steak fries.

Yeah, but cocaine gets a bad rap because it's a white powder. Tobacco and potatoes are darker colored, so they get all the benefits while the white powders suffer.

mar1juana is one thing (which makes it cool that you use it as your example in a thread about cocaine) but cocaine is totally different. I honestly never thought I'd see people advocating for/defending cocaine.

    Dude should have been fired.

Not saying he should be banned from baseball or never coach again, but 99% of fans in the stands would have gotten terminated for using coke.
