This is such bs. Russ has been phenomenal last 2 weeks offensively and all we doing is sh%ting on him non stop. I hate to break it to you but CP would not solve our problems.

Billups won a championship. CP3 pulled his hamstring. Big difference.

It isn't Westbrook's fault we're in the mess we are. He's actually been good for the most part. It's just when you don't have a good supporting cast who can shoot consistently around him, we're bound to lose more than we win.

Weeeelllll if we’re just going by the Nuggets and Pistons after the Billups/AI trade, our record is a lot closer to the Nuggets and the Thunder are a lot closer to the Pistons.

    Basically, this thread is weird.

Billups was a better Lowry but he wasn't a legit superstar.

Their team Defense won it, not debatable.

I am not sure how those Pistons would fare today because their Offense wasn't really good.

It's all about volume 3 pt shooting now.

For the most part, Westbrook has been amazing since early December. As somebody who has been a huge Westbrook critic, these struggles are absolutely not his fault. Frankly he looks like the only one who cares here recently.

The roster as a whole is the problem. We simply aren't designed to succeed unless Harden is a god, which is not sustainable. You can only win so much with rejects and retirees comprising half the rotation.

The issue is Westbrook not only plays bigger but seems physically bigger than the supporting cast other than Capela and Hart. He finds him in an awkward situation because most his past teams were guys that were long and 6-7+ covering for him as he drove the lanes or went for a rebound. The Rockets need the mobile size that can cut and score over people.

Westbrook has been the least of our problems for awhile now...piling on him at this point just makes u look clueless

team can’t shoot...team can’t defend...team is filled with a plethora of limited role players...

Westbrook is one of the few bright spots this season. I think with CP3 we might have looked even worse, since we would've had no running game and just pounding the ball. Teams have adjusted to it for the most part. It's just Harden's brilliance that keeps it from falling apart. This roster like plenty others have said is just too limited, flawed and a JVG could've maybe had a defensive system in place to hide our incompetence a bit more with instilling some discipline, but even that is questionable. With MDA though, Bzdelik gone, our old ass roster is just not going to good enough on defense to win games where we shoot poorly.

I don't know why we just cant move tucker to the 3 and go find a real power forward. Westbrook is the only one that has heart on this team

No flexibility just to get a worse player. I knew it was a terrible trade as soon as it happened.

Well, he isn't the solution either.
Post Durant, when WB became the No 1 option, his OKC teams could defend outside himself, shooting was always mediocre, still couldn't go far in the playoffs, getting out of the first round was tough.

OKC had arguably longer, athletic role players.

well he’s not the #1 option here...this team has glaring weaknesses, but people keep acting like Westbrook’s bricking and dumb decisions are at the top of the list...they’re not

this team is old, slow, short, dumb, can’t shoot, and can’t defend

Morey and Tilman, where the hell are y’all at?
