Is this really a question? Kyrie is a 1 sided player, and seems to be a diva. CP3 is legendary, on both sides of the ball. No question its Chris Paul.
Kyrie is nothing without Lebron. Even last year, when Lebron sits, Kyrie can't hold onto those leads, Cavs get outscored big time whenever Lebron sits.
CP3 when he is 40 gonna be better then 33 year old Kyrie. I'm probably in the minority but I think kyrie is overrated.
Neither because the Rockets will have to gve up too much in busty sam dekker, pat bev, Lou will, montrez harrel and some other random dudes _holic
CP3. Kyrie is probably the best "tough shot" maker in the entire league, and that is an extremely valuable skill to have, particularly in the playoffs. However, while he was a good fit next to LeBron (who literally did everything: leadership, defense, facilitating, etc.) I don't think he'd be a good fit next to Harden. Harden, like Irving, is lacking in defense and leadership, both things are what CP3 excels at.
There's truly zero reason why, this year, you'd rather have Kyrie over Chris Paul. Paul is the better offensive and defensive player, with intangibles to boot.
Can Kyrie even lead his team outside of the lottery without Lebron? Cavs sure looked like crap when Lebron was off the floor and Kyrie hasn't led his team anywhere pre-Lebron. He is a good scorer but horrible defender and mediocre playmaker.
There's a drastic difference between homerism and knowing basketball. Anyone thinking Irving is a better player has a) never truly watched CP3 or b) simply doesn't understand the game. CP3 is better than Kyrie in every aspect of the game.
If we redo it again, CP3 by a whale of a margin. Kyrie has won once, he maybe just looking for cha-ching and pad stats. CP3 last accomplishment is ring.
Kyrie, strictly because of age. Irving just turned 25, Paul is 32. In 4 years Paul will be done, Irving and Harden will still be in their primes, with some graceful years left. Extending our championship window would have been great, Rockets now have a 2 year shot clock.
Tying a lot of your $$$ to two back court players, both of whom are putrid on defense is never a good idea
The last time Kyrie tried to lead a team, they won back-to-back #1 overall picks, so I guess he's valuable in that way?
1. If Irving couldn't get over not having the spotlight with LBJ, what makes you think he would like playing with Harden any better? 2. Irving and Harden would combine for the absolute worst backcourt in the league defensively. 3. Do you seriously think that after CP3 we won't get anyone else? This is Harden we are talking about. 4. PG's like CP3 age very well. We have more than a 2 year window, probably closer to 3-4 years.
