I am wondering will it be anything permanent or requiring off season surgery that could cause permanent injury because If so . . . Don't Do It CP3 Rocket River
with foster as lead ref tonite, is it actually better for the player he hates most in CP3 to just sit out?
Woj: The Rockets & Chris Paul have been reluctant to rule him out. They have continued treatment to try & get that hamstring closer to be able to return to play. It remains unlikely he plays game 7. It would take a remarkable turn of events for him to be out on the floor. Houston is focused on Gordon returning to that role next to Harden to try & get to the NBA Finals.
i am sure he is playing as much as i am sure we dont need him we have the system, the mvp , godly crowd and godly defense to win this game no problem i am sure golden state will falter in the moments of crysis after we deliver a couple of punches
Imagine the narrative around Dirk if they hadn’t traded for Chandler and he remained ringless. A lot is on the line. You never know what shots you’ll get.
The Lebron train isn't a sure thing. I can totally see Lebron joining several Eastern Conf teams over the Rockets. And we still haven't addressed the cap space problems...
If there is any way he can play, CP3 will be in there. He's a tough HoF PG and this is the closest he's EVER been to sniffing a championship. I like the limited minutes idea and make sure he's out there with extra help defenders. We may have to modify the defense for his time on the court, which maybe useful in giving GS a different look for short stints. The sheer emotional advantage of having an 70-80% CP3 could be the difference. If he could play start play 4, rest come in for last 2 in 1Q and then go first 2 mins of 2Q, that gives James some rest and GS a different look. Maybe do the same thing in 2nd half, but if he's doing ok give him some more time in the 4th. Damn, we're so close--I really don't want to see the Warriors play Cleveland again, that can't be good for the NBA or their fan base.
Just 10-15 minutes of him managing the tempo on offense would be huge. But the simple fact is that if his mobility is hindered enough that he can't keep up on D, then it really doesn't matter.
I think you missed my point. I didn't say anything about the outcome of the game. My point is that CP3 will very likely try to play through the injury.
He should give it a shot if he's at least 50%. With the opponent in the Finals being the Cavs, the Rockets need to realize that even sans CP3, they can win the whole thing as long as they can get past the Warriors in Game 7. I would've been a little more hesitant had the Celtics advanced to sacrifice CP3 for one victory.
the suspense is killing me. i've haven't been this nervous about an announcement since my ex took that pregnancy test.
