    I'd take Wiggins.

Sure, he's a lazy bum and didn't meet expectations but he's a starting level wing and athletic and we need athleticism desperately. Problem is his contract will be hard to match in a trade without giving up key players like Gordon or Capela...so no.

But if there is a 3 team trade out there that would net us Wiggins or Covington or both without giving up much, I'd do it. It's not like we'd be bringing him here to be a leader for the team like he is in Minny but we'd really just need his athleticism and when he's hot he's hot and flashes his potential. It's crazy but he's only 24 too maybe he's just a player that matures later in his career.

I know people will say "That contract bro..." But we really don't have many options, we have to make the most of Harden's current contract, that's our window. We shouldn't be sitting on this team that lost to a Warriors team minus Durant.

I’m pretty dismayed that we haven’t heard any rumors about us being interested in Covington. Contract is affordable, he is in his prime and taylor made for our system. My guess why we aren’t involved at the moment

    • Word is Iggy is available and Memphis is willing to play ball with us
    • The cost of Iggy is likely less than Covington
    • Getting Iggy stops the Lakers from getting him
    • Iggy has an expiring contract where Covington has 3 years left. Iggy would be easier to flip for a team wanting to trade a superstar.
    • We can get Iggy without having to give up any rotational players

    SnT Shump + FRP?

3 team trade?? Morey is getting paid nicely to figure out these details.

Do not believe it will take both Capela and Gordon to get RoCo if Rockets can figure out way to absorb Dieng salary.

Have to trade gordon if he doesn’t sign extension.
There is concern that tilman doesn’t like to overpay him 40 million plus tax.

    FWIW
    Fans suggestion
76ers trade Tobias Harris to GS for Russell, rejected by GS fans.
    Russell/Jones/Evans for Harris plus picks.

GS does not want Covington/picks for Russell.

Saw an interesting stat on Wiggins a few months back: Of all the guards in the entire league who average at least 20 minutes a game, he moves the least. According to tracking metrics, none of those other guards is less active overall during a game. With his athleticism, that's pretty damning.

That's right, but the problem is the Wolves are likely trading D.Lo for him so...

There is no reason the Rockets can’t deal Gordon for Covington, especially if they are going to get Iguodala and McGee.

Yup and that would be their Draymond Green replacement.

If the Warriors are not in the playoff race (I think they will) they can also flip Draymond for assets.

    This times 10

    Shhh...

    Wiggins and Covington
    For
    Paul
... the math works out really well. I would throw picks till they said yes.

Would miss EGo, but that may be required.

    Paul/Rivers
    Harden/Green
    Iggy/House
    Covington/Tucker/Clark
    Capela/Javale/Hartenstein

    This team would be deadly.

Greater depth will reduce pressure on Eric's knees. Morey is chasing Iggy and I dread giving up a 1st for him.

I had no idea Covington had arthroscopic surgery. He would be good in Houston if he recovers to full health.

Shumpert and a 1st isn't good enough for him though. Morey should forget Iggy and go after Javale. Clint can be traded by the Feb deadline, if needed.

Agreed. Has to make change. GS have 4 all stars and are still good come playoffs time.
    They are incomplete now.
