Man, I'm also wondering about Landry's. There is no way Tilman has that much cash reserves (cash or other liquid-able assets) right now with all the buy-outs he had recently including the Rockets.
Anything is possible at this point. Italy is a good case study about what happens when extreme measures are not immediately taken. China taught us it is possible, but you have to throw out your economy out the window to accomplish it (I don't think they are done with it yet anyways, 2nd wave will eventually hit i'm sure).
I just want to go on record and say that when I said the About A Boy movie got the plot all wrong, I was right. The movie should have ended with Hugh Grant staying in his apartment. He was perfectly fine in that self contained environment he built for himself. Social Distancing. That's the plot. That was the right movie.
I knew there were containment zones, where there were no big gatherings but people were still able to go in and out of the zone freely. Locking down would be a whole new set of problems.
https://www.click2houston.com/news/...nal-information-on-coronavirus-health-crisis/ Lol what. Edit: Double Lol. Nothing for Alief ISD or HISD. FBISD just extended spring break and CFISD and Spring ISD have cancelled classes. All reported on their Official School twitter.
The main problem isn't the measures taken but if the people will follow them. I have been hearing a lot from Italians. Even when the government closed down the schools, so what? They left the kids to their grandparents, the teenagers were out and about in coffee shops all the playgrounds were full. When they told them to self isolate, they still went to bars and had parties. Heck even in Milano, DURING he quarantine, people were having huge family dinners with extended family, visiting their friends and having house parties. The bazaars and the open markets were full. Noone was wearing a mask or keeping 1 meter distance. Now that they closed down everything, the factories are still open and the workers are threatening to strike because NOW they fear for their lives. It's not only what the government does, but what we do ourselves.
Would be hard to believe. I mean, not impossible, but seems like a big jump. Also - i dont think people will follow it. People were already upset that the rodeo shut down and they couldn't ride the rides. But, seems like I should go to the store just in case and at least buy some meat and things in order to have good, lol.
If it is true, then what you need to think of is that the truth is dramatic and the virus is already spread all over Houston.
I just got the call from my boss's boss saying that I get to work from home for the "foreseeable future"! Finally!!!
But they barely have any tests. "Sir, will you pay for everyone to get tested!!! Answer me right now!!" "Well... sure" [little does she know, we have no tests!! tee-hee]
