I assume if NY had matched Lin, the Rockets would have re-extended the qualifying offer to Lee. I assume that is true as well if by some remote chance Chi chooses to match Asik contrary to all indications.

Not sure you can do that. I think you can temporarily renounce player A's bird rights to chase player B. If player B's offer gets matched, then you can get player A's bird rights back if he is still on the market. That's at least how I understood it.

 

Sorry, I was never really sold on Lee, I think people overrate his defensive capabilities. I mean he's not a bad defender by any means of the imagination. But he's not the great defender people make him out to be. As for being the better player, If you mean defensively I would agree. However I think offensively Jeremy Lamb, even at this point of his career, could already be the better offensive player.

Also if you consider the lack offensive weapons in the projected starting line-up (Lin, Parsons, Patterson and Asik) none of them are offensive juggernauts. Like it or not we are going to need a guy who can flat out score to relieve some pressure off the starters, and Jeremy Lamb, even as a rookie fits that bill.

 

Could be alluding to his own desire to play with DH .

K mart isn't going to be here at the start of the season, surely not at the deadline. And I don't have enough confidence in a rookie to just hand him the reigns with no back-up, and without anyone to push him.

 

You still haven't explained how it's a "shot" at Morey ?

It wasn't like there was any secret about the Rockets attempts at DH,or why Luis was let go.

If the D12 trade goes down soon, I'm guessing our SGs with be Lee and JRich, with Lamb and Martin part of the package sent to Orlando.

 

love to see courtney back considering Lin is a master of the alley hoop unlike the blind lowry & dragic.

cant believe how many times i saw Lee frustrated that they missed him for easy alley hoops.
