Could Lebron (hypothetically) end up in Houston

I actually think this scenario is more possible than some of you think, Lebron is only going to demand like $15 million, he knows in order to win he has to make sacrifices plus he will just make all the money back after selling 10 pairs of shoes. So it's not like we really have that far to go to be in a position to sign him. If we could trade both Omer and Lin on draft day than we would be in a great position to sign him... But this is all hypothetical!

    Yes, it could happen.

Knowing Mauri, it'll probably happen sometime in the near future.

If Pat Riley retires, Wade can no longer play at a high level, and Bosh wont resign, then Lebron will leave Miami. But that doesn't mean he is coming to Houston.

People said the same thing about Dwight... I can't tell you how many times people tried to play me off as stupid when I was talking about getting Howard.

And the probability of that happening at the time (at the time reports were that if Dwight was traded to Houston he would no doubt leave for the Nets) was worse than the probability of Lebron being interested in Houston.

I'm not saying it does but can you name more than 3 teams that realistically have a better shot than us if we really pursued him like we did Dwight?

The only teams I think are really in the running are Miami and the Clippers... And Chris Paul hasn't shown he can win anything yet.

This is silly. Just like when Frank Isola caused a mini-****storm by tweeting:

According to @stevekylerNBA Carmelo could join Miami if LeBron, Wade, Bosh & Melo all sign for $14 million. That is the Heat media’s dream.

Lebron doesn't need money anyway. If he wants to live in LA and play with his best buddy CP3, he's gonna need to sign for close to nothing. Trading a 24 year old Blake Griffin for a 30 year old Lebron is not a no brainer, but this is the hate on Blake Griffin because all he does is dunk forum. There are many like Chris Sheridan and George Karl that consider Blake Griffin the third best player in the NBA after Lebron and Durant. At 30, how many more years does Lebron dominate and, at 24, how quickly does Blake close the gap. Plus, Lebron has a bully mentality so he's gonna want the Heat to trade him to Clippers without getting Blake Griffin back so he can form another big 3. Or, he can just bite the bullet and play for less money.

But anyway, the whole Lebron to Clippers stories floating around are probably made up by Stephen A. Smith's source because he knows CP3 and Lebron are friends.

The first year he signed in Miami he only got payed $14.5 million and he took $15 million less over the life of the contract than he could of signed for just so he could win... Why wouldn't he do it again?

He wouldny do that and leave. If he's taking a discount it would only be in the unlikely melo scenario mentioned above. But I guess you can continue to dream if you wish.

Btw the only place I'm remotely worried about him going is Cleveland, but thankfully Dan Gilbert is running that clown show.

Trust me, I argued at least 3x as much as you did about the Rockets getting Dwight on here. Bet you still can't guess who I am.

if lebron requests for a trade then yes. Lebron is the best player in the nba. He can carry the team on his own back. it would require at least superman.

I really think Lebron only cares about wininng right now, he wants to be the greatest ever... Miami is slowly falling apart and he won't be able to carry that squad for much longer. So I think it's more likely he leaves than he doesn't, and if he does leave there is no reason for him to take the full max, he can print all the money he wants. And he isn't dumb, he knows him taking less money is a huge reason why he has those two titles, and if he wants more he has to find more superfriends and get payed less than them.

I know its a longshot but if we really tried as hard as we did to get Dwight than he would be dumb to my look at us... And Lebron isn't dumb!

Ok. I'm clearly not gonna be able to convince you of just how silly you sound, and neither is anyone else in this thread, so I'll just leave it alone. Good luck.

If you noticed all my caveats, what I am really saying is Lebron very likely isn't going anywhere.

Lebron staying? That doesn't sound like Lebron at all... but who knows maybe Lebron is more loyal to the beach babes than he is to his hometown.

All kidding aside... if the Heat win the title this year I bet he will stay and if they lose in a close series to Indiana i think he will stay... but if somehow neither of those things happen I can definitely see him leaving.

I mean i don't see Lebron staying on the Heat until he retires, do you?
