only hardcore nba fans knew about sterling's racism but it was more of stories and he said she said.

now we had audio proof inside his mindset. that's why it's a big deal.

it's like the rodney king beating. black people talked about what the lapd was doing to black people and nobody cared to listen until someone finally caught it on tape.

if you don't stand for something you fall for anything.

the nonchalant attitude about this basically condones this and does nothing to change it. this is a perfect time to really make a statement about this but the clippers players will just sweep it under the rug and continue to support a man who hates their guts.

Nah. Even the federal government and people he discriminated against all across L.A. for years knew about his racism. Sterling just kept on by buying people's silence throughout the years of his disgusting behavior.

yeah but i'm talking about nationally.

this is now a national story that's starting to get picked up by people who don't routinely even cover sports stories.

What Sterling did is hardly the worst thing done by a current nba owner.

To be thrown out of the franchise, does't it need to be financially threatening or criminal?

    Probably so...

honestly the financial part was probably dealt with already. He basically never put a good team together on purpose. Sat back and collected the end of season revenues and used the team as a tax write-off.

After failing to get him to sell the team they probably moved him out of dealing with the operations of the team and thats how his ex wife ended up running the operations.

So honestly im not sure there will be much they can do besides tell him to stay away from engaging for a long time... IMO though, that sucks and it just makes the NBA look even worse.

This is the new America. Say dumb stuff to a prostitute in private, get forced to sell your team.

Funny thing is I bet 90% of the players & owners say stupid/racist crap in private, but it never gets recorded. I'm sure Lebron James has said some stuff in private before that would tick off a lot of fans. Same goes for every owner and every star that has ever played.

Chris Paul wanted a black coach, but thats ok

If a black owner said he didn't want white people around no one would bat an eye. Regardless It's drama like this that keeps racism alive. Move along, boycott la

So we should ignore what happened and be upset about what ifs as if this is a non issue?

Sterling has done way way more than make a comment in private. You guys are trying too hard.

Jazz and Clippers should trade their owners before deadline.

Did Sterling hire Vinny as coach so he could have an excuse to say 'Negro' all the time?:p:p

Wont it be awkward if the Clippers win the NBA FINAL this yr and they give the trophy to Sterling during the presentation with the coach and players around

And Sterling grabs the mic and says you're welcome. Then he just drops the mic and walks away with the trophy.
