Seriously... He's 22 god damn years old. His frontal lobe hasn't even fully developed yet. He's still got growing to do and he's already a MVP level player.
Yep...for example Altuve at 21-23 .276 .297 .357 .654 .290 .340 .399 .739 .283 .316 .363 .679 The rest is history....
I've been waiting 3 years to see a stretch where Altuve,Correa and Springer were all going well simultaneously. Well we have now seen it, and my god it has been even more glorious than I anticipated.
yeah but does 440 clear the fences? =) Honestly, I'm liking these out of left field threads. need to Start a bench Aoki one! so he can catch fire.
BINGO!!! All three of them on fire (offensively and defensively--except for Correa's E last night...it happens) It's a beautiful thing to watch (and grow) on a nightly basis.
I love reading game recaps and seeing Altuve Springer, Correa and Lance mentioned. I then remember 2012 when Correa and Lance were drafted, Altuve was a noob and Springer was in the minors. Reading about them beating other teams now and thinking back to when we drafted them with 107+ game losing seasons makes me feel so damn good, and shows our scouts and Lunhow gots the knowledge people want to hack. I'm loving it bruhs. Especially waking up to read things like this from the Dallas morning news. #winning https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/te...-rangers-problem-astros-built-rule-west-quite
Came across an old Fangraphs comments section that discussed Correa's early season struggles and his new lower-than-expected peak ceiling. Now everything has turned around and his advanced metrics look phenomenal. GB/FB ratio: down LD%: down (this one is strange) GB%: down FB%: up HR/FB%: up IFFB%: down Most of those metrics are saying he's doing a significantly better job than last year of squaring up the ball and elevating it into the outfield and beyond. It definitely shows with the much improved isolated power number.
Remains to be seen, but without Steroids that would be an amazing accomplishment. His Character suggest he wouldn't mess around with that stuff but you just never know these days. We are fortunate to have some really good guys on our team. I've been lucky enough to be around some of the Houston athletes through mutual friends etc and nothing but good reviews on these guys outside of the clubhouse.
Them beating teams now but they were beating teams back then too. Would always rush to this section to read the nightly updates tellitlikeitis would write up (got me through many boring biology night classes). Carlos, Lance, and Rio were the trio. They are doing what they did in the minors in the majors now. It's ****ing great.
By the end of this season all these "Who's the best young SS in the MLB?" debates are going to look real silly.
