Corey Brewer likes Mike D'Antoni's energy, but wants a strong defensive assistant

they are busy working on their game, corey and dwight must have a lot of free time :grin:

 

This is the wrong type of attitude to have.

Brewer is a class act and a good guy that helped us reach the WC Finals for the first time in decades. Yeah, he was pretty awful this past season and his days as a Rocket are probably numbered. All the same, there's no reason to be bitter or have any contempt for the guy. Plus, it's not like he said anything negative about the team.

You can have the best defense in the world Corey, but if you SHOOT like the way you did in the playoffs...... no team you are playing for will win.

Well I agree with Brewer that the Rockets need to improve their defense. No offense to the dude though, but I hope he's not on the roster come opening night. He's an overrated defensive player who always gambles for steals and he can't shoot if his life depended on it. If he's here next season and is getting more than 5 minutes a game(and in anything other than garbage time), it means our roster sucks and we're in for a long, painful year.

 

Hats off to Brewer for trying to do stand-up on national television.

 

This system is near perfect for guys like Brewer. He doesn't need to even be a decent 3 pt shooter. Was Barbosa ever really a good 3 pt shooter w/ Phoenix?

Not sure what this means for DMo, is he too slow to run D'antoni's system?

Barbosa was a former 6MOY and even at his current age is better than Brewer.

Brewer is a good asset to be traded, he might excel elsewhere like suns. I would trade him for Jon Luer + filler to make salaries work.
