Wait what its either the previous 3 coaches literally fuked up or doesnt know how to use him. Hes the freaking leading scorer in the latest thunder victory against the clippers. Omg hes scrappy and looks like he just rejuvenated his carrier playing for his ncaa champ coach.
Holy cow, now OKC has a big FOUR! Four guys capable of going off for 51! I sure hope we don't get them in the first round.
I'm not surprised really. He had his moments behind the arc, could slither his way in for the layups, and was called the Greyhound for a reason. I think I was one of the few non-haters. I liked our headband brothers who came off the bench.
He's been a very good addition to the Thunder. At the same time, he was a great addition to the Rockets when they first got him. He's in a good spot... playing off of stars that can score, disrupting passing lanes, high energy. I wouldn't count on his shooting.
If he had not made 1/50 3s in the playoffs for the rockets...we would probably have 2 championships by now.
I have to agree with @Clutch but would like to add the following: His coaches were not miss-using him. Brewer has all-star talent but only performs at an all-star level when he feels like he has been treated like "chopped liver." Those were his words when he got traded from Dallas to Minny. Brewer needs to get emotionally motivated to play to his potential. When he is motivated, he performs at a high level, but his performance always tapers off. When he is not motivated, Brewer's performance is mediocre and lacks something to be desired. Eventually, coaches and general managers get tired of his performance, which is why he has gotten traded so many times, despite his talent.
Brewer is not all-star talent. He’s actually average and cannot be counted on since he’s uncoordinated and unreliable. The reason he does well: he’s tall, hard working and just feeds off of emotion. You cannot trust him for ****, unreliable defender and risky in every thing he does.
Don't know if anyone else was watching Thunder's game yesterday. Their TV annalist actually said that Brewer was a good 3pt shooter, then went to check his percentages and had to say something "well, his numbers don't show this year, but..." hilarious! Keep the faith up, he'll hit once every 4 shots, similarly to WB.
Just not cool to still keep trashing a guy who gave us all he had including his heart when he was with us. It's not like we paid him 20 million a year.
Me either. I'm glad to see he's being appreciated in OKC. He got a lot of hateful comments on here when in Houston.
