Heh, so on top of not knowing how to evaluate QB's, you don't know how to evaluate defenses either? You ALWAYS go by points given up when ranking defenses unless you go with something even more advanced. Also, even if we were dropped on our heads as children and go on yards, Atlanta is 31st in the league yet somehow you came up with 10th and 4th.
New Orleans and Detroit. If you want to go by points, that is 23 & 1. And points don't really paint Fitzpatrick's picture any prettier. Regardless, just stay consistent in your blather. No one takes you seriously, but it gets old after a while. I'm sure the boys at Battle Red Blog are nodding their heads.
So you aren't even counting his first ever start in the NFL? He came into the game for the Saints game....which is another terrible defense, then got his first start against Atlanta which is even worse. Stop arguing unless you know what you are talking about, you're embarrassing yourself.
Teddy has ZERO weapons. Patterson has been crap, with a backup running back, no other receivers to speak of, and a terrible o-line. Teddy would kill for the weapons Fitz has, Foster, Andre, Hopkins.
and we saw what Fitz did when he didn't have a RB like Bridgewater's situation. Threw 3 picks against the Giants.
Yeah, the Tebow true believers are very similar to the Bridgewater true believers, they'll never come to their senses and evaluate him properly.
Yes, now we are pulling from the both the Tebow fan and Lin fan arsenal, everyone with rational evaluations of those players are "haters"....gotcha.
You seem more obsessed with Bridgewater than those who hope he succeeds. Tebow had plenty of seasons to prove himself. He failed. Teddy had a good game and a bad game. Can't label him a bust or a success based on his recent work.
I refuse to call anyone a "massive bust" when he was drafted less than a year ago. Get back to me in two or three years with that proclamation and we'll see if you're right. I watched him a lot in college and he was a heck of a player. That talent doesn't disappear into thin air. He had surgery on his knee in the offseason. Usually heavy o and d lineman who have surgery on their lower extremities tend to gain weight when they can't exercise. O'Brien still has high hopes for him and so do I. His injuries are far from life-threatening and all of the potential is still there.
Meh. Not a fan of Fitz but he has been an NFL qb for a decade. Say what you want about him but that's an accomplishment in and of itself and says a lot about the guy.
Lol... That's ridiculous. Nuk is a more developed and polished route runner and he has great hands and you can argue that's more important than actual physical talent. Also Nuk is on the field with AJ so he gets to face single coverage. Patterson doesn't have that luxury. Minnesota tries to get the ball to Patterson around the line of scrimmage a lot (from what I've seen). I don't know why they just don't send him on longer patterns and just let him beat guys deep with his speed (like TY)... Maybe because Minnesota's quarterbacks don't have strong enough arms and or the offensive line can't give them enough time to wait for Patterson to get open.
so with 6 games to go, deandre is having a season more comparable to dez bryant than cordarrelle. scola approved o.k .
Agreed, there is no discussion to be had and this thread serves only to embarrass anyone who happened to agree that Patterson was the better player.
