Well in fairness, he was Mr. USA Soccer at one point so he's gotta pick them.

I'm not sure how anyone is surprised by this. Argentina could probably run through the Euro tournament in their current form (especially with none of the European teams really standing out).

Although the US looks particularly bad today. Not having Jones and Wood definitely hurts. On the few times, the US got the ball down the field, Zardes basically couldn't do anything whereas Wood at least created some opportunities. Dempsey also plays off Wood so he is pretty useless out there as well right now.

Also having Jones running around is irreplaceable. No one else on the team can provide that level of activity in the midfield.

Ugh.. Hopefully the US can pull out 3rd place.

I agree, and amazing credit to the pressure put on by Argentina, but the unforced errors by Bradley... Wondo... It's just frustrating to watch. Woods would at least give speed and stretch the back line, much more than wondo could ever do. Oh well, hopefully we can sneak in a goal and make the game interesting.

Hopefully the 2 kids get a lot of run in the second half.

Crapping on Lalas for being a homer is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Wondolowski shouldn't even be on the roster. Get that bum off the pitch.

NRG field looks pretty good compared to the group matches. I guess it's had time to grow thicker and mess the seams.

We all knew what was going to happen if JK started Wondo and Beckerman (probably would have been the same result with the youngsters in the lineup too). For some reason Nagbe and Pulisic haven't gotten off the bench since they subbed in early in the tournament.

Have no Idea what his infatuation with these old guys are.

Everyone on the USA is playing in the biggest game of their lives. Meanwhile the Argentina team has played in world cup finals or champions league finals. USA still looks nervous and hesitant on the ball. Theyre just not into the game.
