Lin came 3rd in votes this year 250 thousand votes in front of harden at 4th place, he has 3 times as much votes as westbrook.

If Paul goes east then lock in Lin for Starter next year.

    Chris Paul (LAC) 651,893,
    Jeremy Lin (Hou) 605,624,

    Russell Westbrook (OKC) 268,558,
    Steve Nash (LAL) 202,274,
    Tony Parker (SA) 128,966,
    Ricky Rubio (Min) 112,352,

As a Rocket's fan I wouldn't mind if all the positions were filled with our players.

Now I hope people will put the "China-vote" thing to rest next time...

You're incorrectly assuming that the people who voted for Chris Paul would be more likely to vote for Lin than Westbrook or Harden.

You do understand there Lin has 260,000 votes in front of next place Harden who benefited with more votes playing with Lin.

His 340,000 in front of westbrook.

Chris Paul votes would be spread out over the other guards.

Lin would have to be favourite

    A couple questions to consider:

    - How would Paul's votes be distributed among the other guards? Would someone who voted for Chris Paul over Lin be more likely to vote for Westbrook or Lin with Paul out of the picture?

    - How would Lin's popularity change 1 more year removed from "Linsanity"?

    - Would Kobe's popularity also start to wane if the Lakers miss the playoffs? How would the votes he loses be distributed?

    - After a season where Harden as the clear number 1 option in Houston, could we expect him to get more votes next year relative to Lin?
