    SG/SF - T-Mac
    SG/SF - Drexeler
    C - Hakeem

I feel like those three are given.

Now you can pair Hakeem with Sampson, Moses, Elvin Hayes or Yao.

And you can add to the backcourt Steve Francis, Cassell, Lowry, Kenny Smith, Calvin Murphy.

Impossible to fabricate any semblance of a coherent argument against your choices for point guard, shooting guard, small forward and center. However, PF is another question. Moses Malone is the second best player in the history of the franchise but I don't think he would be as effective once he moves more than 10 feet away from the goal.

IMO, the choice for Power Forward should be between Elvin Hayes, Ralph Sampson and Otis Thorpe. Good arguments could be made for all three IMO but I'm going with the one player that is one of the top five players of all time at his position... Elvin Hayes.

    John Lucas
    Clyde Drexler
    Rick Barry
    Elvin Hayes
    Hakeem Olajuwan

C: Hakeem - Sorry Yao and Ralph, I'm not listing Dream as a PF.

PF: Barkley - In his prime, you won't find a better rebounder in franchise history. Rockets have never had a great PF for an extended period of time so CB gets the nod.

SF: Tmac - Tmac in his prime could do i tall. A 2 man game with Dream and Tmac would be insane. Tmac could also expend more energy defensively. You can't double/triple Dream when you have to account for Tmac (and vice versa).

SG: Drexler - I love Mad Max, but you have to start Clyde. The guy could do it all. Who wouldn't love to see a Drexler fast break with Tmac running on the wings.

PG: Kenny Smith - This is the toughest choice of them all. Rockets need a guy that can hit the open 3 and keep turnovers down. I wanted to choose either Mark Jackson or Steve Francis, but I can't overlook Smith's 39.9% career shooting from the 3 point line.

This lineup features matchup nightmares for any opponent.

Good call on the '4'. Perhaps Mo and Dream switching? Oh, would I ever love to see them on the Toy Shop floor in their primes together. Oh, oh...yes! (sigh )

But, as you suggested, perhaps the Big E is starting at the '4'.

During the Twin Towers era, Olajuwon played C and Ralph played the 4, although everyone back then joked that he was really the world's tallest guard. He liked to hang out on the perimeter and was much happier shooting that he was fighting in the paint. What he really loved doing was running on the break.

John Lucas is your point guard and it is not even close. Alan Leavell deserves a mention; dude was fast.

    Deam
Elvin Hayes ( he was a Rocket for one year)
    Mario Elie
    Drexler
    Lucas

We will play you in hoops or have a gang fight, and win either way.
