This AM, Butina has officially entered a plead, guilty of conspiring with a Russian official (believed to be Alexander Torshin) "to establish unofficial lines of communication with Americans having power and influence over U.S. politics . . . for the benefit of the Russian Federation" attempting to influence the National Rifle Association and “Political Party 1,” believed to be the Republican Party, admitting to setting up a meeting between senior officials of the NRA and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in December 2015, in the early months of the Trump campaign.
What an absolute shitshow for the Republicans. When will we see GOP politicians jump ship and denounce the actions of the past few years?
CNN's Chris Cuomo obtained a copy of the signed letter of intent that set the stage for negotiations for Trump condominiums, a hotel and commercial property in the heart of Moscow. The letter is dated October 28, 2015, and bears the Trump's signature. The non-binding document is also signed by Andrey Rozov, owner of I.C. Expert Investment Co., the Russian firm that would have been responsible for developing the property. during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump repeatedly claimed he had "nothing to do with Russia." , which is a lie. the project would've given Trump's company a $4 million upfront fee, no upfront costs, a % of the sales and control over marketing and design. The deal also included an opportunity to name the hotel spa after Trump's daughter Ivanka. https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/18/poli...ter-of-intent-rudy-giuliani-moscow/index.html
...leave no "stone" unturned, I say... ...or, as it happens: "...leave no 'Stone' unindicted..." Remember Benghazi!
Gosh, could one of the "trump-russian" dots be found in the mentioned nude selfie? It must be really small!
What If Trump Has Been a Russian Asset Since 1987? During the Soviet era, Russian intelligence cast a wide net to gain leverage over influential figures abroad. (The practice continues to this day.) The Russians would lure or entrap not only prominent politicians and cultural leaders, but also people whom they saw as having the potential for gaining prominence in the future. In 1986, Soviet ambassador Yuri Dubinin met Trump in New York, flattered him with praise for his building exploits, and invited him to discuss a building in Moscow. Trump visited Moscow in July 1987. ............... The collusion between the two men has been metastasizing from a dark accusation into an open alliance, it would be dangerous not to consider the possibility that the summit is less a negotiation between two heads of state than a meeting between a Russian-intelligence asset and his handler......... http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/07/trump-putin-russia-collusion.html
Nixon's downfall was the Watergate cover up; for Trump, it appears that it's the Russian-gate cover up. Nixon had his "I am not a crook" moment on 11-17-1973 Trump had his "I never worked for Russia" moment this morning;
Her American boyfriend's emails provide more detail to the NRA-Russian-Trump connection A former NRA president hoped to win access to Vladimir Putin on a trip to Moscow, according to an email from one of the trip’s organizers, Republican operative Paul Erickson, also the Russian spy Butina's American boyfriend. He said the trip could have “enormous diplomatic consequences.” The email, sent in November 2015 and reviewed by The Daily Beast, came just months before the Kremlin’s election meddling went into full gear. In the email, Erickson wrote that an official with the Russian Central Bank had made a tantalizing, though tentative, offer to former NRA president David Keene: an interview for his newspaper with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Impressing the NRA’s Russian hosts is also the quickest way to secure a private interview with President Putin on behalf of David Keene and the Washington Times–a plum that was dangled in front of Keene by Torshin himself during a recent Torshin visit to Washington, DC,” Erickson wrote. “High stakes all around.” Erickson’s email also said the trip could help ease relations between Russia and the U.S. by creating a way for the Kremlin to connect with a future Republican president. https://www.thedailybeast.com/nra-heavyweight-wanted-access-to-putin-leaked-email
Coo. Sounds like he went to Russia in the 80s. So did Bernie. Why aren't people screaming that he's compromised?
1. Trump was receptive to a Campaign national security adviser’s (George Papadopoulos) pursuit of a back channel to Putin. 2. Kremlin operatives provided the Campaign a preview of the Russian plan to distribute stolen emails. 3. The Trump Campaign chairman and deputy chairman (Paul Manafort and Rick Gates) knowingly shared internal polling data and information on battleground states with a Russian spy; and the Campaign chairman worked with the Russian spy on a pro-Russia “peace” plan for Ukraine. 4. The Trump Campaign chairman periodically shared internal polling data with the Russian spy with the expectation it would be shared with Putin-linked oligarch, Oleg Deripaska. 5. Trump Campaign chairman Manafort expected Trump’s winning the presidency would mean Deripaska would want to use Manafort to advance Deripaska’s interests in the United States and elsewhere. 6. Trump Tower meeting: (1) On receiving an email offering derogatory information on Clinton coming from a Russian government official, Donald Trump Jr. “appears to have accepted that offer;” (2) members of the Campaign discussed the Trump Tower meeting beforehand; (3) Donald Trump Jr. told the Russians during the meeting that Trump could revisit the issue of the Magnitsky Act if elected. 7. A Trump Campaign official told the Special Counsel he “felt obliged to object” to a GOP Platform change on Ukraine because it contradicted Trump’s wishes; however, the investigation did not establish that Gordon was directed by Trump. 8. Russian military hackers may have followed Trump’s July 27, 2016 public statement “Russia if you’re listening …” within hours by targeting Clinton’s personal office for the first time. 9. Trump requested campaign affiliates to get Clinton’s emails, which resulted in an individual apparently acting in coordination with the Campaign claiming to have successfully contacted Russian hackers. 10. The Trump Campaign—and Trump personally—appeared to have advanced knowledge of future WikiLeaks releases. 11. The Trump Campaign coordinated campaign-related public communications based on future WikiLeaks releases. 12. Michael Cohen, on behalf of the Trump Organization, brokered a secret deal for a Trump Tower Moscow project directly involving Putin’s inner circle, at least until June 2016. 13. During the presidential transition, Jared Kushner and Eric Prince engaged in secret back channel communications with Russian agents. (1) Kushner suggested to the Russian Ambassador that they use a secure communication line from within the Russian Embassy to speak with Russian Generals; and (2) Prince and Kushner’s friend Rick Gerson conducted secret back channel meetings with a Putin agent to develop a plan for U.S.-Russian relations. 14. During the presidential transition, in coordination with other members of the Transition Team, Michael Flynn spoke with the Russian Ambassador to prevent a tit for tat Russian response to the Obama administration’s imposition of sanctions for election interference; the Russians agreed not to retaliate saying they wanted a good relationship with the incoming administration.
53 transcripts will be released: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/russia-transcripts-collusion-schiff-panic-mode-sources Two sources familiar with the transcripts told Fox News that not one of the 53 witnesses could provide evidence of collusion. “The transcripts show a total lack of evidence, despite Schiff personally going out saying he had more than circumstantial evidence that there was collusion,” one source involved in House Russia investigations told Fox News.
I think at this point Fox news has little credibility. You should read the post above which demonstrates a clear effort by the Trump admin to benefit from a relationship with Russia for his own political gain. Trump should have been impeached for that, he should have been impeached for Ukraine, and he should have been impeached for his response to this virus. Yet somehow you guys defend him to the end. He could hand over the country to Putin and you'd still defend it. It's mind boggling.
