once the Dems gain control of Congress, one of their first acts will be to subpoena records from the parties involved in The Connection Between a Russian Bank and the Trump Campaign, sifting through records of unusual Web traffic between the US-based Russsian-owned Alpha Bank and the Trump campaign's domain https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/...between-a-russian-bank-and-the-trump-campaign Computer scientists discovered D.N.S. lookups from a pair of servers owned by Alfa Bank, one of the largest banks in Russia. Alfa Bank’s computers were looking up the address of the Trump server nearly every day. There were dozens of lookups on some days and far fewer on others, but the total number was notable: between May and September 2016, Alfa Bank looked up the Trump Organization’s domain more than two thousand times. “We were watching this happen in real time—it was like watching an airplane fly by,” “And we thought, Why the hell is a Russian bank communicating with a server that belongs to the Trump Organization, and at such a rate?” this was a covert communication channel
The Democrats might win the House of Representatives but at best it is a toss up right now. They will lose seats in the Senate.
Not at all. 75% with the House. Only 20% projection with the Senate according to 538. Those numbers should tell every Dem they don’t just need to vote but they need to bring everyone they know out to vote the way the districts are gerrymandered.
Not even close. The Democrats were never favored to win the Senate. They do have a chance to win the House but who knows?
So this is the lawsuit that got kind of laughed off because it was by the DNC ultimately, and everyone thought it made them look butthurt. But if Trump's lawyers only defense is free speech, maybe that wasn't such a sour grapes lawsuit after all. Knowingly Trafficking stolen goods is a crime to the best of my knowledge, and the defense looks to NOT be a claim of ignorance that they were stolen which would be the most obvious defense. If I know a car is stolen, and I sell that car myself for my benefit, that should absolutely be a crime I can be charged or fined for. Its widely established that opposition research has value to a political campaign. There's nothing in this defense for the Trump campaign than to admit they trafficked in stolen goods, and walk away with nothing but a fine. But they are obviously trying to avoid any type of discovery & blocking evidence for some reason by waiving around 1st amendment rights. Why is that?
If the Democrats dont win the house, this is not good news for 2020. Democrats better put a moderate on the ticket.
Maybe. I think there are lots of factors. Running a moderate worked when they ran Obama. It didn't work when they ran Clinton.
this, from page 40, was posted in 2017 Smith die, in a Minn hotel, later in 2017; WSJ has found new details to Smith's operations Smith is said to have collected at least $100,000 from four wealthy donors and gone to great lengths to keep their identities secret. Another $50,000 that went toward the so-called “Clinton Email Reconnaissance Initiative” was provided by Smith himself One of his emails reportedly referenced plans to give part of the money raised to a scholarship fund for Russian students. “This $100k total with the $50k received from you will allow us to fund the Washington Scholarship Fund for the Russian students for the promised $150K,” The new details gleaned from Smith’s emails come after the arrest of accused Russian spy Maria Butina, who prosecutors say was brought to D.C. under the guise of “studying” but was actually busy infiltrating the NRA and Republican political groups as part of a covert Kremlin influence campaign. Butina’s activities were allegedly overseen by Alexander Torshin, a Russian central bank official previously actively in a cultural exchange program for students that federal investigators warned was actually a recruitment operation for Russian intelligence. Mueller’s team has remained quite focused on John Szobocsan, a business associate of Smith’s who was involved in the email operation, was interviewed by the special counsel’s team three times this year, and went before a grand jury in August. https://www.vox.com/2018/10/9/17953560/mueller-trump-russia-news-alfa-bank-psy-group
For all the talk from the “what happened to innocent until proven guilty” (with MBS and Kavanaugh) crowd, you’d think they’d be patting libs on the back for holding out their pre judgement on Peter Smith and his suspicious death. That is... if they really care about “innocent until proven guilty”. If the shoe was on the other foot, you know damn well Hannity and co wouid run segments nightly where it was just assumed Smith was murdered as a cover up by the Dems. It’s pretty telling how high of a standard we set for ourselves (rightly so) that even in such an obvious case, nobody is jumping into conspiracy absolutes.
Team Mueller's investigation revealed details about then-Trump Co attorney Cohen’s contacts with Russians ....... “In or around November 2015, Cohen received the contact information for, and spoke with, a Russian national who claimed to be a ‘trusted person’ in the Russian Federation who could offer the Trump campaign ‘political synergy’ and ‘synergy on a government level.’” https://www.rollcall.com/news/polit...eller-details-russias-political-synergy-offer
At least 16 Trump associates had contacts with Russians during campaign or transition https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/10/poli...iates-russians-campaign-transition/index.html
...you know... ...what I want to know is why can't anybody find a pigeon... (...ANY one--doesn't even have to be a real one)... ...to stool on the Clintons' child-slavery/sex trafficking/New World Order scandal?... ...I mean the way that story got around, there's GOTTA be SOMEBODY looking for a payday or a pardon... ...nobody's really looking for any of this with the Donald (supposedly), and people are stumbling over witnesses (or accomplices) like they're a bunch of drunken frat boy pledges splayed out all over the dorm halls after an all-night kegger...
