Millsap would be incredible, especially on a D'Antoni team. He would be a legitimate 2nd star. I've wanted him for years.
Millsap would be nice. Looks like any combination of Ariza/Beverley/Brewer works in the trade machine
He's definitely that and he knows he's a backup at this point in his career so why not? We have Capela and Dmo right now and Harrell. That's alright for a fringe playoff team.
Did not catch "former." Yeah, he's definitely talking about Amare. Makes sense given his track record with D'Antoni. I'd be fine with him off the bench on a cheap (like veteran minimum cheap) deal. But he's not likely to contribute a ton to a contending rotation at this point in his career.
it can be a Sign and trade with ATL for DH but ATL has cap space to sign him directly we have to sweet that move
I'd love Millsap too but, you have to lose assets for him, he's not free like Horford, he cannot play center and he's going to opt out next season, how much money can he make next summer? 35x?
Someone help me out here. What makes Codman's post legit? Is it that he put some time into writing it all out, or is he some kind of insider that I don't know about? What's the deal?
Cap room is an asset too. Assuming it would be Ariza + Brewer for Millsap and then you sign Bazemore you don't lose much. I think the difference between Milsap and Horford is pretty significant, it would be worth it IMO.
I'd be shocked if Amare signs with Houston or if they explore it considering his issues with this team's pursuit of him in the past and that he bashed D'Antoni as a coach to the media.
I'm not sure...i mean: - we can still trade those guys to upgrade the pg or the center spot - Millsap can't play center and hit free throws, what are we going to do in late game situations? - how much money he'll command next summer (assuming he's staying here)? These are important points to think about imo.
If Atlanta resigns Horford and signs Howard then maybe trading away Millsap for Beverly and Ariza is a possibility? Horford might demand to only resign if he can play PF next to a true center thus less leverage for the Hawks in a Millsap trade. Plus Millsap is set to be a FA anyway and Ariza and Bev are on insanely sweet contracts. I don't know if that team is a contender but at least it would be fun to watch.
