Congrats Lakers on Becoming the New Dynasty!

The Lakers went from talking about a "big 3" with Lebron, Kawhi, and Paul George to a big 3 of Lebron, KCP, and Lance Stephenson.....the West trembles.

Yeah the rest of that roster around lebron looks like hammered dogshit, and I don’t see any particularly plausible way KL works his way there without the Lakers making a big offer.
This signing to me says Lebron has given up beating the Warriors or winning another title as the best player in the game. He had 2 or 3 options to do that and it wasn’t LA with nobody else coming with him.
I think this was all about prioritizing family and the rest of his life, and that’s cool, props to him I guess.

 

Lakers will be dysfunctional. But it will be fun to see the spotlight shift from the Warriors.

Wait till the Warriors women start griping-- Curry's wife, Durant's mother, Green's mother. Will be funny

 

Not getting past the Warriors or Rockets in the second round. Kawhi would be a nice 1-2 punch but the haul it’s gonna take too land him is going to deplete the rest of their team.

 

The better question is if they make it to the 2nd round.

On paper this is looking like potentially the greatest meme team to ever exist.

 

Surely they will be better but enough to overcome the warriors, Rockets and even the Jazz? Not sure. Then Philadelphia and Boston out in the eastern conference?

 

If they dont get Kawii this year I believe they'll have almost enough money for two max slots in 2019 offseason. People will jump for max money, Lebron and LA lifestyle.

 

Lakers have a ton of talent, but they dont have a system like the Warriors do. Kerr is overrated in game, but the system he instilled is legit. Luke Walton should have been fired a while ago.

 

The Lakers have the talent to be a real contender in the G league.

 

Depending on how big a contract Randle might get, it's not a sure bet they can afford Leonard next year. Though with limited suitors bidding on Julius, he might just sign the QO and become a UFA next year and leave. That would likely leave the Lakers with $30M in space.

The Lakers are assembling a clown show. Will be much drama on their quest for a playoff birth. So many locker room tiffs. I fully expect LeBron to break a dozen purse handles this season.

 

They will have max room for Leonard next year. If lbj doesn't decline too much they might be good in a year.
