not a Kobe fan , but i like how he criticize his performance after the game, hope Harden can man up and did the same when he didn't play well.
You seriously had this guy on your roster? Should of pulled a Morey and got rid of your asset while high.
its the dudes first game back from one of the worst injuries possible at his age give him more than a game before you stick the fork in him as far as being effective gosh
I feel bad for him. 70% of that injury is mental. If anyone can recover from it mentally, it's Kobe. His game took a 30% decrease due to the physical nature of that injury plus another 5-10% being year older (closer to 10 since he is in bad shape). He can regain 5% and still be 65% Kobe from last season if he recovers mentally. It's scary to think your Achilles will snap again the next time you go up to take a jumper or dunk. The Lakers are stupid for re-signing him without seeing him play. Sure, fans will come to games for a while to watch Kobe shoot 10 free throws a game, but they will grow tired of it and end up resenting the organization for screwing them out of free agency for the next two off-seasons (especially if Nash retires). Just look at this: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/la_lakers.htm So stupid. LOL, don't compare Harden to Kobe. That's a disgrace.
It's alright, Kobe is their babied star player, plus it's his first time back. His performance is pretty much expected. You get 0 lift in your Achillies, no explosiveness, and he has to practice his touch again.
Some dude on Lakerground posted about Kobes return game last night said: "He looked like Wizards Jordan" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!
Mental or not, it was obvious that the dude will never be the same. He will never be able to take you off the dribble, slash to the hoop or any other explosive move. As it stands, Kobe's greatest offensive strengths are his bball IQ, master post moves and passing ability. If he plays to those strengths and primarily operates out of the low block or high post, he could be incredibly valuable. His salary will, probably, never match his output but i don't believe he will cost the Lakers any wins.
im not a laker nor a kobe fan but i did enjoy the music they played for him, i thought it was fitting
