    Great for Chuck, if true. He deserves to be paid, and if Sacramento can get rid of Tyreke, or make him less of a ballhog, they can be an up and coming team.

    I don't think it's as straight forward as that. There were certainly 2012 free agent cap considerations, along with our current personel at the PF position (Chuck's natural position). I don't think they planned to run Chuck back out there at center for a second this year (i can hear the whinning from the peanut gallery already), and teams only started talking to agents a couple of days ago. So Morey likely had to make this decision irrespective of what we plan to do at center.

    4yr/20 mil for Chuck!? THAT'S A STEAL! He's one of the best defensive specialists bigs in the league and he has the mentality to keep getting better! Good luck Chuck! You will be missed if you leave.

    Let him go. He's not worth that much money. He's great at what he does and he's a great role player, but he's still a 6-6 to 6-7 PF/C that is a defensive specialist and not much more.

    Good to see the Chuckwagon get his hard earned dough somewhere else as we are rebuilding and have no business shelling out anything in that neighborhood.
    Morey has a plan and Chuck wasn't going to be part of it.

    That said, it's been a pleasure watching this guy turn himself into the player he is. Chuck's hard work, attention to detail, and leadership qualities make him a Rocket for life as far as I'm concerned.

    Seriously, if Hayes is gone, this will be the least I've ever cared for a Rockets team. His play was inspiring. I enjoyed watching it.
