Atleast not yet, let us at least win ONE championship before the MJ comparisons.

Harden is on the right track so far. That is all.

Did handchecking also allow Jordan to average significantly more steals and blocks than both Harden and Harper? James is having a great season though and I'm glad he's a Rocket.

Jordan and Harden's steal and block rate are almost the same. There isn't a significant difference.

2.1 steals compared to 1.9 and 0.9 blocks compare to 0.8

Raw totals are 50% more for MJ at age 25.

    2.9 stls

    0.8 blks

Harden has equal blocks, but MJ averaged 1.6 at age 24 and 1.5 at 23.

    1.6 bpg by a 6'6'' player!!!!

    1. Jordan played elite defense.
    - Harden still needs a lot of work in this area.
    2. Jordan won multiple championships.
    - Harden has a first exit playoff in his resume.
    3. Jordan had considerably less turnovers in his career
    4. Jordan played in an era with superior rim protectors

I don't think this is even comparable.

I'm not comparing them by ages. I'm comparing the seasons of 2014/15 Harden and 1991/92 Jordan.

I agree, i just made me laugh a little that a person with the name CertifiedTroll is the one taking up for him, lol.

There will never be another MJ23, we all know it will never happen, rules change, teams change, time changes.

What we do have is a MVP caliber player that can put up similar stat lines to some of the greatest players of all time, at age 25, entering his prime.

Everyone needs to chill out and enjoy the best team we have had in a very very long time.

Thanks OP for the comparison, I for one enjoy little tidbits like this.

For those arguing the handchecking point, it's probably fair to say that since Harden doesn't play in a Handchecking era, his offensive stats are inflated compared to MJ.

Could you imagine if guys like Tony Allen and Kawhi could get away with handchecking Harden? He's a strong dude, but no way he gets to the rim by dancing around with crossovers and no way he gets the number of foul calls.

Harden is damn impressive, but its really really hard to compare across eras bc there are too many factors that account for major systemic differences.

League average efficiency is much higher these days.

Making Jordan's stats even more impressive
