He said he likens himself to Trevor Ariza somewhat. What do you guys think? Honestly, I can't think of a ton of players I would compare him to since I didn't watch him a lot, but from watching his highlights he looks like a potentially better version of Corey Brewer.
There is hope he is not going to end up a narcissist like Parsons being halfway decent looking Keep being that down to earth worker and people will like him, and stay away from Cuban and his clubs
Something I didn't know about him was his big following in Wisconsin. Maybe even bigger than Kaminsky. Locals were genuinely disappointed that the Bucks passed on him. He's also never been outside the state and has parents that have attended EVERY game he has played. Seems pretty down to earth to me. Combine that with the J J Watt factor, and I think we'll be alright.
this is who i compared him to as well as parsons. similar body type and atleticism to green. shooting ability is on par as they are both streaky.
Perhaps a mid-career Tayshaun Prince, exchanging wingspan for weight and speed? Pretty similar stats in college, with Dekker trading efficiency for defensive ability and volume scoring. Both guys were nominal 4s in college who were best suited to making the transition to the wing in the pros. Both guys had "unconventional" jumpers that look like they're never going in. Dekker seems like he'll be a positive tweener like Prince, where as long as you get him into a good matchup against a slow 4 or a small 3 he can take advantage of it.
He reminds me a little of Horry, but I don't really like player comparisons... none of these guys are that much alike when the pieces fall.
Definitely this. Also the parallels are there with both of them growing up in Wisconsin and having an ultra-supportive family. It can only make his transition that much easier.
A cross between Chandler Parsons and Tyler Hansbrough. Montrezl Harrell on the other hand is half Ben Wallace and half Nate Robinson.
