I also filled this out and I don't even have AT&T (DirecTv subscriber). There's a specific request for CSN Houston on there as well. Everyone should fill one of these. Although i blame Crane and CSN for this fiasco, i still think we should let the providers know that there is a demand!
I as well ended up switching just for the Rockets last month. It was unfortunate but it had to be done. I also save about $40 monthly for the same thing as I had with DirecTV but I also get internet now (another savings because ATT is a ripoff on internet) so I really cannot complain. Anyone know if the new guide is better?
I know it's a Rockets message board, but it never ceases to amaze me that we give Les and the Rockets a pass for not putting their product on a channel that we can watch...for holding the Astros responsible for making sure you can watch the Rockets. I realize the Astros are a super easy target right now..but come on.
Yeah...I think Morey has said he's player side..not business side..and left all that up to Tad. I think that's the division of things there. Having said that, each sports franchise owns and controls its own media rights subject to league restrictions. So either the Rockets ceded total control of their product over to a franchise in a completely different league, which is so incredibly stupid that I can't imagine it actually happened...or they're part and parcel of a group that didn't look before they leaped and assumed that CSN's projections were all good and are letting CSN drive the ship (which I what I certainly think happened, particularly given the language from Crane and Tad since it's all gone south). As an Astros fan, I'm pissed I can't watch the Astros. As a Rockets fan, I'm pissed I can't watch the Rockets.
Agreed, but see my edits in bold. Bottom line is that it's the Rockets responsibility - not the Astros or CSN - to make sure as many people in Houston can watch their games as possible. I can't fathom being mad as the Astros because I can't watch the Rockets.
I have it at my office but not at home. It's much better than Fox Sports Southwest if you're a Houston fan. Houston-centric programming, as opposed to playing second fiddle on a station based out of Dallas.
It is and they've called it a "bust"... how they determine it's a bust I have no idea, since nobody without Comcast has been able to watch it. r****ded.
The "insider" shows about the Rockets/Astros are very similiar to the quality that NBA's Inside Stuff had in its hey-day (in a good way). I actually enjoyed the Astros insider shows a ton... and I'm sure the Rockets ones will be just as insightful.
Hire a lot of hot chicks. Presentation is good. Dynamo gets lots of coverage. How come you guys don't put out anything on csn-2?
Damn good channel except the Astros part, everytime I turn to that channel it's an Astros game or a rerun. Immediate flip of the channel.
