Well I figured this would happen. I got upset and and got all the way to a regional manager and he said the ad didn't apply to Houston customers since it's not the Central division. I did get Blast upgrade free, HBO free for a year, $10 off my service for my trouble tough.

Btw, that deal WILL get here in a few more months. It's a company wide roll out but Central got it first. Houston is in the Western division.

It was only available to customers in the central region. Houston is in the Western region.

I dumped Comcast over this. They decided after telling me over the phone I'd get a year of HBO free they'd just lie and send me a notice that I'd be only 3 months.

Didnt want to start a new thread on this, but my Comcast internet is now giving me 100mbps speeds today. Seems we just had to wait for the service to roll out to the Houston area.......Just restart your modem and enjoy!

Make sure your modem is DOCSIS 3.0 compatible, otherwise it won't work.

Ain't the 100 mbps only good for customers with Xfinity Blast? Or is it Performance?

Just reset my modem a few minutes ago and now my download speed is in the 90s! I was at Blast 50 so I guess it upgraded to Extreme 105.

Performance has gone from 25 to 50. Blast has gone from 50 to 105. The extreme 105 went up to 150.

didn't notice a difference after rebooting the modem, but I'm on a wireless connection with an old G router, so I think the speed is as fast as it's gonna get. I'll try my PC in the morning and see if that's any faster. I'm on Blast.

I had to reboot my modem twice (the first time I lost all internet), but it now DL's at 119mbps. I am in The Woodlands area. I tested first wired... will check if my router (crappy Netgear 4300) will handle it.

Gawd how I hate this Netgear router... wireless speeds at 72mbps (though oddly, up was slightly faster than wired).

One day I will swap out to an ASUS...

    Guess mine doubled too.

Let me ask this. Why do I need so much speed?

I Blast and pay over $80 a month for it, so I'll definitely check it when I get home later today. If my speeds increase I'll feel a little bit better about paying that much for Internet service.

    Oh snap!

I'll have to check it out when I get home.

    I'm on a 50mb service.

Nice, I got the double play with Xfinity (Digital Starter and Performance).

I'll reboot the router to see if this thing is faster.

I just restarted, first test it was 33.

    So I did a second test, I got 49.99.

    I'm happy.
