Tried to post some tweets but couldn't embed from iPhone. Really only 1 draftable prospect. Oh how times have changed. But Ridgeway is an intriguing prospect and could really go anywhere in the draft. He's a big athletic guy that I think can play 4-3 DT or 3-4 DE. He says he got a 2nd round grade coming out but thinking he'all go somewhere in the 4th. But there are also 1-2 guys that I think can make a team as UDFA.

BOB @ Ohio St. kicking the tires on Braxton Miller: http://247sports.com/Bolt/Texans-drop-in-on-Braxton-Miller-44473152 [rquoter]
@HoustonTexans Head Coach showing The Buckeyes love... #EverydayIsaBigDay by @theohiostatefootball The Houston Texans have an elite wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins, but with Brock Osweiler behind center now, the team is looking for an elite playmaker to star across from their talented wideout. Enter the possibility of Ohio State WR Braxton Miller heading to H-Town, something that certainly could happen, as Texans' head coach Bill O'Brien was in Columbus today checking in on the talented playmaker, per the school's official Instagram account. In the video, O'Brien says, "I always enjoy coming to Ohio State. It's a great college football program. National championships. Great coaching staff here right now. And we're actually here talking to Braxton Miller. So like I said, it's always a great opportunity and spend time with the coaches and the players." While O'Brien (as well as some of his counterparts in Dallas) may be enjoying checking out all of the talent in Columbus today, his past visit to Ohio State wasn't as pleasant. As head coach of Penn State, O'Brien's Nittany Lions got blown out, 63-14, in his last trip to The Horseshoe. In that game Miller played quarterback but torched the Lions for 320 yards and 5 touchdowns between his arm and his legs during the contest. The Texans hold the 22nd overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. If they want to take Miller after that pick, they will likely have to do so at No. 52 overall, which is the 21st pick in the 2nd round. [/rquoter] So now they've publicly been visible at Braxton Miller and at Corey Coleman. Normally Texans ≠ publicizing their thinking. Makes me begin to wonder if the interest in WR's is just a decoy.
Agree. The draft dance is a lot of smoke and mirrors. I can't remember who it was, but in a recent draft one of the kid's we drafted said he was surprised the Texans picked him because they didn't really talk to him. I bet if they like a WR, it might be Doctson. He's got superior balls skills, hands, route tree experience, leaper, etc. Sounds like a slightly faster Hopkins.
I can't remember either, but off the top of my head I think it was Strong. I could be wrong, though. If it was Strong, it makes sense because rumors say we were actually trading up for Tyler Lockett, who was snagged right before we picked.
If Doctson runs a sub 4.5 in his TCU Pro Day March 31, he goes top 15 no doubt. He made Boykin look good. A slightly faster Hopkins, is a good comparison. Coleman tho. ran a 4.37 on 90% healthily. He can go deep, return kicks, and make Osweiler's job a lot easier.
I really like the idea of Coleman in this offense. Coleman and Hunter Henry would have our offense looking pretty good. So many directions we can go.
Henry is very possible at 52, but knowing Rick Smith they probably go defense if Texans draft receiver in the 1st rd. Texans pick 2 spots earlier in the 2nd rd with the Patriots losing their first and the Texans switching places with the Redkins.
If we're looking at Braxton Miller and actually decide w/ him, it'll be the 52nd and that could mean we go OL with the 22nd. Springs? Kelly?
Coleman is a huge decoy. BOB probably went out there and told him which routes to run so as to make other teams feel we weren't there for Baylor's true star, Andrew Billings.
